Etsy Inspired 39-Ribbon, flowers and tutus...oh my!

This week's Etsy shop for your inspiration is Chicy Creations. They have lots of cute hair bows, flowers and tutus to get your creative juices flowing. My favorite embellishment in the world is ribbon, so this shop was very inspiring!

Originally, I picked the bow below for my inspiration. I love chocolate and that shade of blue together. When I started making this card for the one layer card (OLC) challenge on SCS today, I ended up changing the chocolate to black!

I used a scrap of paper that I had used to cut a scallop rectangle nestie as a template and then sponged soft sky and baja breeze inside. I stamped the flowers in black and my sentiment in black and tied some satin ribbon at the top! EASY PEASY!

This reverse masking technique is really easy, and you can use any size or shape. I like using it for one layer cards to jazz them up a bit and create the illusion of another layer.

If you participate in the challenge use keyword EIC39 when uploading to online galleries. Also link you card HERE for a chance to win a prize! :) Check out the other DT members creations. The links to their galleries are on my side bar------->

Have a great weekend!

Emily

Great card!!!! It's it funny how challenge cards can take on a life of their own sometimes?

How funny! I thought about using that same bow as inspiration. It's so pretty. Love the card you came up with. I knew there was a reason I kept saving those cut out scraps of paper!
