This week is all about buttons and brads at the Paper Maniac store!

Card Ingredients:
Accesorories:  scalloped edge satin ribbon-May Arts, Kaiserkraft pearls in black, pink paislee die cut punch outs from Amber Road collection, hemp twine, vintage black button from my stash, making memories alphabet tab stickers

I {heart} this new Amber Road line from pink paislee!  The colors are just gorgeous and the first embellie I thought of to go with this were the kaiser kraft black pearls.  The Paper Maniac carries several different colors of the pearls to meet all of your paper craft needs.  The papers from this Amber Road collection are just mouthwatering, and are double sided.  They go beautiful with both black and kraft paper.  The die cut punch outs are equally beautiful and go great on both scrapbooking pages and on cards.

Starting in October, The Paper Maniac will start their Copic club!  I  am soooo excited about this, and the first copic kit is awesome!  The colors are GORGEOUS!  You will have the option of either ciao or sketch markers.  Stay tuned!

Eat, Drink, and Be Scary with AI!

Hello!  Today I have some cute Halloween items made with the new Artful INKables set Halloween Hauntings.  I just love this set!  I really enjoy silhouette type images, and they are perfect for Halloween.  The photo above is a close up of the paper pumpkin I made.  I am going to use these as place setting cards for an upcoming Halloween party.  I will add a tag to the top of the pumpkin by the tendrils with the guest name on it.  The paper is American Crafts.  I cut 6  1x6 inch strips of paper and attached them at the top and bottom with brads.  Easy Peasy!

This shows the pumpkin with some notecards that match.  The notecards are 3x3 inch.  I am thinking of incorporating a "solve the mystery" type game at the party, and I thought it would be cute to write the clues inside of these little note cards.
The note cards are tangerine tango, black, white, and DP by imaginiesce.  The black and orange ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.
Make sure you go check out this fabulous Halloween set at AI!

In memory of Cole Edward Fisher-EIC55

I wanted to take a moment today, to remember Cole Edward Fisher.  Cole was the son of one of my life long, long distance friends, Tanya.  We met almost 30 years ago while camping in Tennessee.  We were pen pals for many years when we were younger.

Today's Etsy store is The Salty Cat Co. Lot's of beautiful jewelry for your inspiration today.  Please make sure that you link your creation back to the Etsy Inspired Challenge blog HERE.  Also remember to use keyword EIC55 when uploading to online galleries.  A random winner will be chosen next Friday from the entries to win the gorgeous copper braclet shown below.  Can't wait to see what you come up with for the challenge!

Blue Skies....

Hey there!  This card was made for this week's CAS (clean and simple) challenge over on SCS found HERE.  I am loving the stamps in my September Unity KOTM!  I also am loving the new paper I got from The Paper Maniac.
The blue and yellow DP is from Sasafrass Lass Sunshine Lollipops collection.  I matted the sentiment with black and used my rectangle nesties.  I distressed the edges of everything including the scallops.  I really like how it turned out.  I paper pierced around the edges of the yellow paper and the blue paper and then added black lines for my faux stitching.  I used some black embroidery floss tied in a bow with a button on top!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a marvelous Monday!

EIC54-Key To My Heart

This week's Etsy shop is I heart flowers.  I was inspired by the vintage looking necklace above.  I made a scrapbook page of hubby and I on our wedding day.

My base is kraft and I sponged black ink on the edges for a distressed look.  All stamps are from Unity.  The Everyday Adorable kit and a stamp from a past KOTM.  DP is from K&Co Day dream collection.  The flowers are Petaloo and the ribbon is May Arts.  I added some pearl dewdrops to the scallops at the bottom.  The heart charm I got at an antique store.

When uploading to on-line galleries, please use keyword EIC54.  You also need to link your card or project to the Etsy Inspired blog HERE.  A random winner will be chosen next Friday to win the fabulous earrings shown on the Etsy Inspired challenge blog.  Please make sure to check out the other DT members fab creations.  They are located on my sidebar.  Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Friends with Flair is in the air!

Hooray for Friends with Flair Friday!  Today I have a scrapbook page for you.  I used last Friday's sketch challenge on SCS for this one.  The photo's above are of my oldest son when he was six, riding his bike with no training wheels for the first time.  He was so darn proud, and that summer he had lost four teeth so his smile is just priceless!  We were at my parent's cottage in Michigan, and my Dad attached a broom stick to the back so that we could run along side of him, and hold on until he felt secure.  You can see my hubby running along side in the first picture after he had let go for the first time.  Such fun memories.
I had to use that awesome retro looking bike from August KOTM for this page.  The paper is from K&Co's Daydream collection.  I just love the paper in this collection.  Fun and funky, and a lot of themes that work for both  boys and girls. The chipboard Happy is from Anna Griffin's Darcey collection, and the journal box is from MM.
Have fun, and can't wait to see what everyone does today.  I probably won't comment until later, cause I have to sleep after working all night!  As soon as I get my bum out of bed I will be cruising blogs!

Sketch challenge with some BG Wisteria

Hello!  I made this card for the sketch challenge over on SCS yesterday.  I bought some BG Wisteria months ago, but hadn't used it yet.  I really love the purples and blues together.  These colors remind me of my MIL!  She loves them!  I used a digi sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs, which is available at The Paper Maniac.  I sponged some blues and purples on my sentiment panel and added some black brads and a ribbon.  I matted everything with kraft and the base is kraft.  Hope you all have a wonderful day!  It is starting to really feel like fall around here, and I am giddy with excitement! I LOVE fall!

Artful INKables September BLOG HOP!

Hello! Welcome to Artful INKables September blog hop.  You should be arriving here from Lisa's  blog.  If not then you will want to start at the beginning on Kristin's blog.  There are some fabulous new releases this month.  I used the new Halloween Hauntings set.  I LOVE this set!  It is so much fun to use and inspired me to make a scrapbook layout which I haven't done in a LONG time.
I am so sorry to say I have no clue who made this paper.  It was in a scrapbook kit that a friend of mine gave me ages ago!  I added some faux stitching with my paper piercing tool and black marker.  I stamped a sentiment onto the candy corn tag.  I stamped my ghosts on white and cut them out and popped them with dimensionals.  I stamped the haunted house and moon in black and then sponged various shades of yellow, orange and rust to create the spooky sky effect.  I call this fake brayered sky! LOL!  I usually start out sponging the lightest color and then add the rest of the inks the same way.  I sponged the black ink last to create the shadows on the ground and on the edges of the circle.
Your next stop on the hop is the lovely Jen.  Have fun!
Remember to leave a comment on each blog in the hop to be eligible for the prize of the new release AI stamps!
Happy Hopping!

EIC53-Inspired by Pinky's Pet Gear

This week's Etsy shop for your inspiration is Pinky's Pet Gear.  I don't have any pets, but I LOVE that some of the collars are made from Vera Bradley material!  I actually have a purse and wallet in the pattern in the picture above.  The first thing I thought of was my BasicGrey Marrakech DP!  Perfect for this pattern and colors and the upcoming autumn season.
These are some photos from our trip to Animal Kingdom at Disney World.  This was the safari we went on.  It was just gorgeous!  I love giraffes so snapped a bunch of photos of them.  I used some brown ink to distress the edges of the papers.  I distressed the edges of the brown mat behind the center photo.  The orange paper ribbon and the map DPis from K&Co.  The blue and bright patterned paper is Basic Grey's Marakesh line.  The letter in the title are Thickers by American Craft.  I am sooooo happy I finally made a scrapbook page.  I don't think I have scrapped since May!

TDSC022-A HOT little sketch for you!

Today The Digi Shack is shacking up with Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  I used one of the new Halloween Lani's for this card.  Isn't she the cutest?  The sentiment is from Artful INKables South of The Border set.  I colored her with copics.  I used red and black cardstock and the Divine Swirls CB folder. I just scraped my ink pad over the swirls.   Added some black satin ribbon and there you have it!  I hope you have a chance to play along this week.  Please make sure to link you card using Mr. Linky on TDS website HERE, and also the  Sweet Sketch Wednesday website HERE.
