EIC60-Owlways in my heart

This week's EtsyInspired challenge shop is Vivikas Toy Art.  She has some adorable little felt items for your inspiration.  I loved the owls in her shop, so I chose to use the owl image and sentiment from Unity's October KOTM for my card.

I paper pieced the eyes and added some dew drops.  A clean and simple kind of card, but I like the way it turned out!  Unity is our sponsor this week, so they will be giving away THIS stamp set along with the prize HERE from Vivicas to one lucky winner.  To win, you need to upload your challenge card to the Etsy blog HERE.  Please remember to use keyword EIC60 when uploading to online galleries.  A random winner will be picked from the entries next Friday!  Good luck!

Crafting with kids and the Paper Maniac!

Paper:  red and green Bindakote high gloss paper, white
Accessories:  buttons, hemp twine, grosgrain ribbon, black kaiser pearls, stickles

Hello!  This week at the Paper Maniac, the focus is on crafts for kids.  The PM store offers many kits that are great for kids and crafting.  I was looking at all of the fabulous buttons from the PM store and decided to make a snowman out of buttons.  My son loves to use my cuttlebug, so he decided we should make an ornament.  He picked the colors, and it was his idea to add the black kaiser pearls for the eyes.  He wanted to use glitter for the snow, but since mom is not into glitter all over the house for months, we decided stickles was a safe and less-messy route!  He got a little help from mom when it came to the bow on top, but otherwise did it all himself!  I think this would be cute as a gift tag or an ornamanet.  Make sure to check out the PM blog for more great ideas for crafting with your kids!

EIC59-Witches, Pumpkins and Your Next Stamp!

This week's Etsy shop for your inspiration is the little red door.  They have primitive little clay houses and such to inspire your creativity.  I chose these Halloween decor houses.  They seemed the perfect fit for this cute digi image from Your Next Stamp, who is our sponsor this week!  If you haven't already, go check out this fresh, fun, new line of stamps.  One is cuter than the next!  I wish I could buy them all!

I couldn't resist, so I had to make two cards for today's challenge.  I LOVE everything about autumn, including Halloween!  I will be sending these cards to my nieces and nephews.  I added some stickles to the stars but it is hard to see in the photos.

Make sure that you use keyword EIC59 when uploading to online galleries.  If you play along, link you card to the EtsyInspired challenge blog HERE.  Next Friday, a random winner will be chosen from all of the entries to win this cute clay house   and also this stamp set from Your Next Stamp.  Two fabulous prizes, so get creating!

Ink:  Memento Rich Cocoa
Paper:  Kraft, light blue ( from my scrap bin) DP Cosmo Cricket

I made this card for the sketch challenge on SCS this week.  I am NOT a big fan of sock monkey's but this is for a friend-kind of an inside joke! Hee, hee, hee!  I think this sentiment is pretty cute to go with a sock monkey, though.   Everyone's been sick at my house but, I think we are on the mend!  Make sure you check out all of the Unity inspiration on the Friends With Flair blogs.  You can find the list HERE.

What's Moo at Artful INKables?

Hello!  Today I have a card and milk carton box from the newly released Artful INKables set, Down on The Farm.  This set is adorable, and so much fun to color the images!  Check out all of the "punny" sentiments that go with these cute little farm images...check out the set HERE.
I colored my image with prisma pencils and blended with OMS.  I used a clean and simple layout in black and white, but added a splash of pink with the buttons on both the card and the carton.  I plan on filling this carton up with some malted milk balls as a gift for a friend.

Thanks for stopping by!

Autumn Inspired-EIC58

This week's Etsy shop for your inspiration is Linkel Designs.  There are sooooo many beautiful pieces of jewelry that I WANT and NEED!  I chose the beautiful Autumn looking earrings above for my inspiration this week.

I made this for my very last ever Stampin' Up class last weekend.  Due to the new restrictions, I will no longer be a SU demo.  (I will be venturing into something new...stay tuned!)  We used the sets Branching Out and Holiday Best.  The image is stamped on textured white cardstock and matted with Sage Shadow.  The sentiment and tree are stamped in chocolate chip, and the leaves are really rust and sage shadow.  I scored these frames at The Dollar Store last year and had been saving them for a smaller class, since I was only able to buy 10.
Make sure you check out the EtsyInspired Blog for more inspiration from the rest of the DT!  Please use keyword EIC58 when uploading to online galleries.  Make sure you link your creation to the EtsyInspired blog by next Friday for a chance at a prize.  Want to know what the prize is?  Click HERE!  Now go create something beautiful and inspiring!

Easy Peasy half-baked card and a mouse in the house!

Happy Friday!  Today's limited supply challenge over on SCS, is to use a pre-printed card as your starting point and limit your layers and embellies.  I have had this card kit from K&Co for years!  I think I bought it on clearance at Michael's.  It came with rub-on sentiments and the die cut green ovals.  I added the pink card stock panel and kaiser pearls.  Easy Peasy!
I have not been feeling well, so I slept on the couch most of the night watching murder/mysteries!  I kept hearing something in the kitchen and thought I was just spooked by the movie I was watching.  My oldest son was eating his cereal this morning and I had gone upstairs to crawl into bed, when he let out a blood curdling scream....I ran down the steps and he was standing on the couch!!!  "I just saw a mouse!"  he kept yelling.  Yep...we have a mouse in our house!  We spent about 30 minutes running around our kitchen and family room trying to catch it, but that little booger was fast!
Hubby went to the store and got some of these crazy traps that have glue on them!  I guess the mouse runs over top of it and sticks to it!  YUCK!  Hopefully, we will be mouseless (don't think this is a real word)soon!

Artful INKables October Blog HOP!

Hello! Welcome to Artful INKables September blog hop.  You should be arriving here from Holly's  blog.  If not then you will want to start at the beginning on Kristin's blog.  There are some fabulous new releases this month.
I chose to use the new set A Bird's Song.  This set is so versatile, because you can create a seasonal scene, by adding leaves, flowers, or winter berries to the branch.  I chose to make this an autumn card.  I have so many beautiful bluebirds that fly around my yard, and they are busily preparing for winter right now.  Their colors are not quite as bright as they are in the summer, so I chose to use more muted tones for my bird.  I colored him with prisma pencils.  I added some ribbon and buttons from my stash and some hemp twine was frayed and added to the middle and the buttons.
Remember to leave a comment on each blog as you go to be eligible for the new release prize bundle!
Your next stop on the hop is the fabulous, talented Joy!

Have fun!

A LimeLight sketch!

This week the Etsy Inspired DT is participating in the Limelight Papercrafts sketch challenge!  How fun is that!  This is Limelight Papercraft Challenge #32 (LLPC32 for online galleries).  The focus is RIBBON.  I LOVE the awesome silk ribbon that Mandy carries.  I will definitely be purchasing more of this ribbon!  I used some burgundy silk ribbon, some Jillibean Soup DP from the Ministrone collection and a burgundy Jillibean Soup bean seed flower.  My card base is kraft.  I altered the sketch a bit, but was inspired by the photo of the sketch below!  Make sure you check out everyone's cards for the sketch.  The links are below for both the Etsy DT and the Limelight DT!

Here is the sketch!  Winner receives Paislee Tinsel Town Ribbons.

Card Ingredients
Stamps:  Artful INKables Halloween Hauntings set
Paper:  Really Rust, black, white, DP retired SU
Ink:  Memento tuxedo black, really rust, pumpkin pie, yoyo yellow
Accessories:  black grosgrain ribbon

Hello!  Today's card uses my favorite Halloween set of ALL time from Artful INKables!  I can not get enough of this set and find myself pulling this one out all of the time!  I stamped the haunted house in black ink and then sponged the yellow and oranges around it for the sky.  I sponged black on the bottom for the ground.  I stamped and then cut out my ghost image and popped him up with dimensionals so he looks as though he is floating out of the window.
Make sure that you check out the AI site for some fabulous stamps! Also...make sure that you check out the blog hop on Oct. 15!  Two new sets are being released that will blow you away!

No Images at The Paper Maniac this week!

Card Ingredients
Stamp:  Artful Inkables Holiday Treats and Tails
Accessories:  Oval punches SU, May Arts fuchsia/olive reversible ribbon

This week at the Paper Maniac the challenge is NOT to use a stamped image.  There are soooo many wonderful papers in the Paper Maniac store, that it is easy to make a quick card with paper as the main focus. I used paper from Nikki Sivils North Pole Nights for this card.  I only used one piece of paper and mounted it on my Neenah white cardstock.  It looks like I used several,  but nope...only one!  I tied some scrumptious may arts reversible satin ribbon at the top (this ribbon is INCREDIBLE) and added a stamped sentiment.  This is an easy peasy card to make with a few supplies.  Go grab some fabulous DP and ribbon from the PM store and make your no image-quickie card!

Make sure you are a subscriber to the PM newsletter, so that you can take advantage of new product and coupons!!!
