Using fabric on your projects....

Check out the new {ippity} stamp release!  Click HERE to see what I have for sale!  I have competitive prices and great shipping!
Hello!  Just wanted to share this card I made for one of the new release challenges for ippity, yesterday.  Heather challenged us to use fabric, canvas, or tulle on our project.  I have oodles of counted cross stitch linen and aida canvas.  Needlepoint and counted cross stitch are hobbies I haven't visited in a long time.  I am still waiting for my new ippity releases to get here, but I used the Live Simply set for my card.  I love the folk art feel of this set.  I stitched around the aida cloth with red embroidery floss.  I added some gingham Offray ribbon.  The rusty metal star is actually something that fell off of one of my Christmas decorations this year, so I thought to save it for a project.  I distressed the edges of my paper and added a heart button from my stash.  I used black Staz on ink to stamp my willow tree onto the fabric.  I had to try this twice, because the first one was too light.  You really need to press very hard to get a dark image, even with the black ink.  I believe it is because this cloth is kind of bumpy.

Guess what?  I won a free {ippity} T-shirt last night for this challenge card! HOORAY! :D

Thanks for stopping by!  I will be adding the new ippity releases to my ippity page sometime today for ordering!
