You are Loved...

Hello! I think I made a similar card a while back, but here it is again! LOL!
I made the flower and grass from pages torn from an old book.

EDIT:  For this particular card, I used an old music book.  The information below is just telling you an alternative if you are not into perusing antique shops and what not! LOL!  I use the Donna Salazar papers for lots of craft projects, but for this, I used a vintage music book.  For cards and what not using old paper is fab.  When I scrapbook, I prefer to use the acid free papers that "look" old. I don't want to chance that they will ruin my photos.  Thanks for the questions that were emailed. Sorry for the confusion! :)

They are all inked up with distress inks.  I used nesties to make the flower and added chunky silver glitter to the middle.  I got the idea for this from Donna Salazar.  She has all kinds of tips and techniques on her music sheet and vintage book papers.  I love that they look old, are acid free and they are fun to read as they have a crafty theme!
You can find these products HERE at Paper Maniac.
Love the grungy look of these flowers!

Thanks for stopping by, and sorry for the repeat kind of card and technique!

Hello!  As soon as I saw this week's Tuesday Trigger, I knew what stamps I wanted to use!!! Dontcha' just love when that happens?  Here is the inspiration photo:

I pulled out the Girly and So Sweet sets from My Mind's Eye, Stella and Rose collection.  I used Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point ink on the doily and telephone images.  I used some alphabet letters from K&Company for the "HELLO".  Easy peasy one layer card. LOVE!

You can purchase the stamps used above from Paper Maniac.  PM is also having a HUGE sale! Check it out:

H{ippity} Hop-HAPPY....

Hello! I haven't participated in a H{ippity} Hop in awhile, so I was excited to pull out one of my favorite ippity sets-Quotes a 'la Happy!  I paper pieced the birds with paper from My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose-Hattie paper collection.  I used some of the same paper on my bottom panel and paper pieced the "HAPPY".  I added some faux stitching, brown burlap string and a vintage button to finish it off.  All papers were distressed with Walnut Stain distress ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

I {sparkle heart} The Stamps Of Life!

Hello! Here is a card I made using the new release from The Stamps Of Life-lines2journal.  This set is great for both scrapbooking and cardmaking.  In the photo above, I used one of the journal boxes to frame my puffy sparkle heart. I bought a pack of these hearts at Hobby Lobby around Valentine's. Couldn't resist!  I used a sentiment from the flowers2share set.  These puffy hearts came with their own little adhesive dots. I added some red baker's twine at the bottom that I bought from Noelle.  She has some great colors of twine if you need any. She sells them for $2.50 for 25 yards and she ships for free!

Below you will find a scrapbook page that I made of my sis and BIL with my niece.  I used the same set-lines2journal to create the dotted lines at the bottom and the sentiment is from this set, too.  I used paper from Cosmo Cricket's DeLovely collection and some twine and a crochet flower. Easy peasy and quick and simple layout.

FWF-{Heart} Us....

Hello! Today I have a card using stamps from various Unity KOTM's.  I stamped the journal frame twice. Just connected them to make the background frame. I then took pink Copic markers to color around the border. I stamped the {heart} us onto kraft and cut out around the image.  I made a paper flower from a page from an old vintage book and added a button and some twine. I distressed the edges of all the paper and sponged distress ink in Old Paper and Walnut stain.

Even with the pink, it will make a great "just because" card for hubby!

The Stamps Of Life: Borders4me

Hi, there!  Today I have a card using the new release, Borders4me set from The Stamps Of Life.  The sentiment is from the set, words2color.  I used Ridinghood Red and Baja Breeze (SU) inks for the dots.  I stamped the "congrats" in Memento Tuxedo Black, and then colored in the letters with a red Copic marker.  I added some black burlap string with a big button from PTI's winter vintage button collection.
I like to have several congrats cards on hand going into graduation season.  May and June are always busy with the school year winding down, so I like to have them ready to go!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

My Mind's Eye....Oh, My!

Paper:  kraft, vanilla, black cardstock; Stella & Rose Mabel Patterned Paper
Accessories:  Hand dyed seam binding, vintage button, Scallop circle nesties

Hello! I just recently ordered all of the new stamps and paper in My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose collection from Paper Maniac, and all I can say is, WOW!  I was reluctant to purchase the clear stamps because of the super cheap price. I thought that meant that they would not stamp well, but oh, my!  They stamp BEAUTIFULLY!  First time, too!  I love the vintage images and how they match so well with all of the paper collections in Stella Rose.
For my card above I used Mabel patterned paper.  I also used stamps from the So, Sweet set and Girly set.  I love the colors in Mabel.  The orange, browns, black and sea foam colors are beautiful together.  I hand dyed some seam binding with orange inks, and added a vintage button to the center.  After stamping the doily, I decided to put a black scallop circle behind it to make it pop.
I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch for this card.

If you were on the fence about buying these stamps...DO IT!  I am crazy excited about how well they stamp for the price!

Thanks for stopping by and make sure check out the links to the products I used on this card!!

Birthday Circles....

Hi! Today I have a Paper Crafts reject card! LOL! I had entered this one a while back for the Go To Sketch call.  I used patterned paper from My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy collection.  The sentiment is from The Stamps Of Life set, robots2build.  I paper pierced around the perimeter of the kraft card base.  I added some brads that look like screws, because I think this card is definitely geared toward a little boy.

I plan on doing a bunch of spring cleaning this week.  It is time to sort through the boys clothes that will no longer fit them this summer or next winter.  I also plan on going through their toy room (while they are at school, of course).  They have so many things that they do not play with, and they all three have birthdays coming up.  It is always such a good feeling to purge and pass on unused or unwanted items. I am so glad that spring has arrived.  We have a rainy week ahead, but I love the smell of rain when it starts to warm up.  Nothing like it!

Happy Friday!  Excited to play along with FWF, since I haven't in awhile.  I used stamps from Melody Ross's One Of A Kind set. LOVE this set!  I colored the bird and the girl's hair and skin with Copic markers and then pieced her dress.  Added some hand dyed seam binding and a crocheted flower and button to finish it off.

An Irish Blessing....

Paper:  kraft cardstock, white cardstock

Hello! Today I have a card using several great products from Paper Maniac.  Since St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow, and I am of Irish heritage, I thought it would be fitting to create one last St. Paddy's Day card.  I kept it clean and simple since this one will probably go to hubby.  I love the look of stamping in color on kraft cardstock.  I also love kraft, green and white together!

Make sure you check out all of the new arrivals in the PM store! TONS of wonderful stuff coming in daily!

This is for the Papercraft Star challenge. Make a project inspired by the photo below:

This is also for The Kraft Journal challenge: use green!

Cute little felt carrot card....

Hello! I was at Hobby Lobby the other day looking for an Easter craft for my son's Easter party at school.  I do love browsing HL's seasonal items.  They always have the cutest felt embellishments.  I just about squealed when I saw this package of 3D felt carrots. They are flat on the back, so PERFECT for cards! I snatched up the one and only package!!!
Today's What To Use Challenge over on SCS is to use felt, so I was excited to put one of those little carrots to use on a card.  The sentiment is from The Stamps Of Life set, eggs2hunt.  Hurry! Run to your nearest Hobby Lobby and see if they have any of these packages of felt carrots left! They were $1.99 for a pack of 6, and all of the Easter crafts are 40% off! Whooot, whooot! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

A scrapbook layout-The Double Stroller!

Hello! Today I have a scrapbook page for you!  I made this page for my scrapbook inspiration challenge over on SCS.  The challenge is to scrapbook a layout of something you could never live without!

I no longer need it, but I couldn't live without my double stroller the first three years of my twins life. It was a MUST HAVE! LOL!

I journaled around the edge of the photos and embossed paper blocks. Here is what it says:

"The double stroller: a mother of twins must have item when venturing out into the world with toddlers x2! I think I had a love/hate relationship with this mountain of steel, plastic and fabric. I would curse, it, and thank God for it every trip I took! The day I wheeled it out to the trash was both scary and refreshing. I was happy not to have to lug it around anymore, and terrified of my first trip to the store without it!"

My twins are almost 5 now, and if they made a double stroller big enough, I would probably consider using it! LOL! Going shopping is still crazy time!

I made a similiar layout to this in a CKC class last September. The colors, textures and layout were totally CASE'd from them!

Would love for you to make a layout and upload it to the SCS challenge.  HERE is the link to the challenge!

Have a great day!

FWF-You Are Loved....

Hello! Happy FWF!  I am excited to be able to comment this week! Last week I was in Vegas, so I pre-scheduled my post!
This card is a pub call reject, but I thought I would share it anyway! LOL! The sentiment is from the October 2010 KOTM, Take Time To Laugh. I used old sheet music to create the crumpled grass and the stem and leaves on my flower.  I used Old Olive ink to ink them up.  The flower is created using scallop nesties.  I then sponged pink ink and Old Paper Distress ink onto the flower.  I added some chunky silver glitter in the middle.  I used my Walnut Stain and Old Paper Distress inks to ink up the background too.  I decided to add some staples (sorry mom) since it was tattered and old looking.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

TSOL-A wedding card....

Hello! Here is another card made with the new The Stamps Of Life set, cake2build. I paired it up with some Pink Paislee DP from the Sweetness collection.  I thought the pink and blue with the doily would be perfect for a wedding card.  The cake is pieced with paper from this same collection.

Viva Las Vegas and The Stamps Of Life March Club set release!

Hello! Sooooo.....the real reason I have been missing in action on SCS and blog land is because hubby and I have been in VEGAS!  We had sooooooooo much fun, and it was our first big trip away from the boys.  I missed them and was glad to be back, but it was so nice to have time with just the two of us and our friends.  I don't like to announce on my blog when I am out of town, so I had to tell a little white lie! LOL!

Today is also March 1st, which means it is time for a new The Stamps Of Life club set release.  This set, cake2build,  is perfect for any and all celebrations.  The cakes are so much fun to piece and stack and the borders to decorate the cake can also be used for other things, too!
I used some Memory Box Pixie DP to piece the smaller cake image in this set.  I added a Pebbles dot to the top.  I love the bright pink and black together.
This next card uses the scallop border to decorate the largest section of cake.  I simply kept stamping them in a line, connecting and off-setting them.  I used the larger heart from this set and colored it with a copic marker.  The sentiment is from the banners4all set.
