Bee Happy!

Hello! Today I would like to share a card I made with the hexagons2love set from The Stamps Of Life.  I used two of the hexagon shapes to create a honey comb pattern. I stamped the hexagons in Crushed Curry ink.  I created the sentiment using alphabet letters from miniabc2stamp.  The little bee charm is from my stash. It was gold, so I took my black copic marker and colored it, to give it more of an aged look.  I sponged distress ink around the edges (antique linen) and my card base is kraft.

This card totally works for The Hooked On Hexagons Challenge over on the Moxie Fab blog!
Here is another card using the set faces4stamps.  I simply punched a circle and added the smiley face.  I love all of the smileys in this set that you can add to other images. I paper pierced around the edge, and added a black and white baker's twine bow to the top.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just Thinking About You...

Hi there!  Today I have a card that I made for the color challenge on SCS this past week-Tangerine, chocolate and artichoke.  I don't know if you remember, but their used to be a company called Daisy D's that had gorgeous vintage looking paper.  I have hoarded away several of their collections, and this paper was from one.  The stamps are from Heartfelt Creations Mailbox Surprise set.  I stamped the image in Chocolate ink from Clearsnap and then used antique linen distress ink to sponge around the edges.  I used the Spellbinder's Labels 20 (i think) die and added a paper rose and some baker's twine to the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

shellibrate!

Chevrons are all the rage (even though they are really zig-zags!) and I love this new set by The Stamps Of Life.  The best part...Stephanie has released dies that coordinate with this set, so now you can stamp and die-cut zigs and zags to your hearts content! I used the sets turtles2love and chevrons2stamp on my card above.  The cardbase and blue zig-zags are Pacific Point and the turtle is Certainly Celery and then the shell is stamped with Wild Wasabi.

I will post some cards soon using the fun chevron dies!  Thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt Creations: Butterflies, Birds and Swirls...

Hello! Today I have a couple of Heartfelt Creations cards to share with you!  The new Garden Romance collection is so beautiful.  I have had fun creating many different styles of cards with this collection.  My first card I used some sponging for color, but let the stamps do the talking.  Instructions and supplies are as follows:

HCD 723 Garden Romance Die
HCPC 3479-Wings Of Hop PreCut Set
HCPC 3480-Brookside Manor PreCut Set
HCPC 3354-Classic Message PreCut Set
other product: white, black cardstock; Licorice ink-Clearsnap; Bordering Blue, Pacific Point, Night of Navy inks by SU; Stampendous snow glitter, glossy accents, sponges
Fold white card base so that it measures 4.25" x 5.5". Cut black cardstock panel to measure 5.5" x 2.25". Cut white cardstock panel to measure 5.5" x 2".  Stamp butterfly swirl image in black onto white panel two times so that the swirl looks continuous. Next using blue inks (start with lightest) sponge inks around swirls as desired. I like to have the lightest shade toward the middle of the panel and then work my darker inks around the edges.
Next stamp one large and three small butteflies from the Brookside Manor set. Using matching dies to cut. Add glossy accents and glitter to wings and then adhere over matching images on image panel.  Mat image panel with black panel and adhere towards left side of base. Stamp sentiment in lower right corner.

This next card could be given for a man or woman's birthday.  The birds soften it a bit, but I love the look of the wood on the "on".  Supplies and instructions are below:

HCD 723 Garden Romance die
HCPC 3479-Wings Of Hope set
HCPC 3480-Brookside Manor
HCPC 3481-Add On Sentiments

Sponge Antique Linen distress ink around edges.  Stamp larger and small sentiment onto white panel and color "on" with copic markers as stated above.  Stamp the two doves from Brookside Manor set onto white cardstock and use coordinating die to cut. Adhere one on top of "O" in on sentiment. Adhere other dove to upper right corner. Tie baker's twine around bottom of image panel and tie into bow.

Hexagons Hugs!

Hello, and Happy Father's Day to all of the dads out there!  We are having a quiet day at home with a trip to our favorite park.  I have already shared my Father's Day cards I made this year, so here is a simple one layer card (OLC) using a new set from The Stamps Of Life called hexagons2love.  Hexagons are all the rage, and it is fun to make different patterns and designs with them.  I used two different inks (Bermuda Bay and Baja Breeze) to create that gradient effect.  I also used a sentiment from words2search.

I hope you have a wonderful day with the dads in your life!

Heartfelt Creations-White Picket Fence

I am over the moon in love with this white picket fence die from Heartfelt Creations. It is so perfect with the stamp sets in their Garden Romance Collection.  I recently had to remove several of my rose bushes that were close to my house.  We were re-landscaping and they just looked out of place.  I have plans to plant new rosebushes next year in an area of my yard that they can just go wild! This stamp reminded me of my red roses and the bluebird house I had nearby.  You can find directions and the product list for this card below!

Stamp birdhouse onto white cardstock, color and cut out using matching die. Adhere birdhouse die cut over birdhouse image using a foam adhesive dot.  Die cut picket fence from white cardstock three times. Go Fish Challenge #19-Something Patriotic!

Hello! Time for a new Go Fish Challenge. We would like you to create something patriotic! Even if you live in another country, please show us a card or project using your countries colors or symbol.  I decided to use two sets from The Stamps Of Life for my card. I used patterns4pops for the popsicle and sentiment and the smiley face is from faces4stamps.  I added some Donna Salazar Fairy Dust glitter to my bomb pop and a popsicle stick from my crafty stash.  The baker's twine is from The Twinery.

I hope you can play along with us at Go Fish!

The Stamps Of Life: Turtle2love

Hello! Today I have a few cards to share using this month's The Stamps Of Life club release-turtles2love.  This set is a lot of fun because there are so many cool things to do with the different shells.  In the card above, I did exactly what the set was meant for-turtles! I stamped the solid shell in Certainly Celery ink, and then stamped the dots in Old Olive.  The dew drops were added as "bubbles".
In the card above, I used one of the patterned turtle shells to create a pattern.  I then used a sentiment from the sympathy4you set to stamp along the diagonal.  You would never know that shape was meant for a turtle shell, now would you?
Last, I have a graduation card I made with yet another turtle shell design.  I also used the big swirl from swirls2build in the background. Love how Stephanie's sets coordinate with each other.  It gives you so many possibilities while stamping!
I hope you are inspired to find a stamp in your stash and use it in a way it was never meant to be used!!

edit: I added this to Virginia's "stretch you stamps" challenge. It fits perfectly and you don't have to submit a new post!

Thanks for stopping by!
