Heartfelt Creations: Vintage ornaments....

Hello!  Today I have a couple of Heartfelt Creations cards to share with you.  I had so much fun making my card above.  I turned the lantern images into vintage looking ornaments!  I love finding multiple ways to use a stamp.  You can find the supply list and instructions below.

HCPC 3493-Yuletide Sentiments PreCut Set
HCPC 3488-Decorative Metal Fixtures PreCut Set
HCPC 3490-Holiday Mail PreCut Set
HCDP1 725 - Frosty Blanket Paper Collection
Spellbinders Holiday Tags die

other supplies: white cardstock, watercolor paper, Glossy Accents by Ranger, Silver micro glitter by PK Glitz, Tuxedo Black Memento ink, Walnut Stain distress ink by Ranger, SU markers in Old Olive, Always Artichoke, and Certainly Celery, watercolor brush, silver cording, foam adhesive dot, kraft knife, Jenni Bowlin vintage bow
Fold card base so that it measures 4.25" x 5.5".  Cut Frosty Blanket designer paper to measure 4.25" x 5.5". distress edges of paper with scissors or fingernail and apply Walnut stain ink to edges.  Stamp sentiment in lower left corner with black ink.  Adhere patterned paper panel to front of card base.  Stamp pine bough in black onto watercolor paper.  Color with various green markers and blend with a watercolor brush.  Use scissors and kraft knife to cut out pine bough.  Stamp small and large lantern images onto Frosty Blanket designer paper in black ink.  Die cut with coordinating Spellbinders dies.  Use glossy accents and glitter to add detail to lines on lanterns.  Add vintage bow embellishment to center of small ornament to hide the light bulb.  Add a poinsettia from the designer paper and adhere to center of large lantern with a foam dot.  You have just turned your lanterns into beautiful, vintage ornaments!  Add silver cording through top of ornaments and attach to pine bough.  I placed the bough and ornaments onto my card and figured out where I wanted them in relation to the sentiment.  I then adhered each ornament first and then the pine bough.

Make sure to stop by the Heartfelt Creations blog for more inspiring projects!

Emily
