TSOL: Folksy Tree....

Hi, there!  Today I have a card to share using the trees4Christmas set from The Stamps Of Life.  I created a little wintery scene by paper piecing the tree and stamping the stars in white in the background.  The paper is from Simple Stories and Authentique.  I also added some glitter to my snow mound and around the base of the tree.  I added a burlap bow at the top with a cookie cutter charm (I believe I purchased those at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago).
My house is decorated, so hoping to get some projects done today in my studio!  I did not stamp or do a single thing over the Thanksgiving holiday.  Kind of nice to just hang out!  I wanted to share a photo of my family at Thanksgiving below.  I love how this photo turned out.  I stood on top of my parent's kitchen island to take it.  You can see every single person except for my niece who was in a high chair back in the corner.  Not too shabby!

Heartfelt Creations: Timless Amour Debut

Hello!  Today is the day for a breathtaking new release from Heartfelt Creations.  You are going to fall in love with this collection of stamps, dies and papers.  Vintage, romantic and timeless images paired with intricate dies and mouthwatering papers = LOVE!
Also, today Heartfelt Creations will be donating 10% of all Black Friday (Nov. 23rd) sales towards ChildCry, a non-profit feeding organization founded by Times Square Church.  I always appreciate when my shopping dollars go towards charitable organizations, too.  You will find the product list and instructions for this card below.

Cut card base so that when folded it measures 5.5" x 5.5".  Cut 5.25" x 5.25" panel from Timeless Amour paper so that door and roses are the focal point.  Ink edges of white cardstock base with Old Paper distress ink.  Distress edges of Timeless Amour panel with fingernail or scissors.  Using paper from Timeless Amour and coordinating dies, cut two hearts from burgundy and white paper and layer them together.  Adhere finished heart to center of door image.  Stamp sentiment in black ink to the right of the door.  Weave burgundy twine through vintage lace and adhere to bottom of card.  Tie a loopy bow from the burgundy twine and add a half pearl to the center of the bow.

Can you believe it? I was also inspired to make a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout using this collection!  I love going antiquing, and I always end up buying vintage photographs.  I always feel so bad, that someone didn't keep these old photos of their loved ones.  Makes me sad.  This photograph is one that I found this past summer.  I decided the colors and patterns were perfect to highlight this old photo.  You will find instructions and product guide below for recreating this page below.

Start with a 12 x 12 piece of kraft card stock and ink edges with Walnut Stain ink.  Cut Timeless Amour patterned paper to measure 11.5 x 11.5". Distress edges of paper and ink with Walnut Stain ink. Adhere to kraft card stock base.  Using black Timeless Amour patterned paper and Timeless Amour dies, cut two decorative scroll pieces.  Adhere using Glue Arts adhesive to top and bottom of antique photo.  Stamp Timeless Amour background onto white card stock in black ink.  Distress edges and ink with distress inks in Old Paper and Walnut Stain.  Adhere to back of antique photo so that the "LOVE" is sticking out of the back of photo on left.  Next stamp Bella Rose flourish and leaves in black onto white cardstock.  Use matching Bella Rose die to cut.  Ink leaves with Mellow Moss ink.  Next you will create a smaller and medium rose and a rose bud. Please see Emma Lou Beechy's tutorial HERE on how to create these roses.  Stamp three of the smallest Posy Patch images onto burgundy Timeless Amour patterned paper and use matching die to cut.  Shape and add a small half pearl to center.  Stamp "memories" sentiment in black onto white patterned paper and create a border for the bottom using MS border punch with the black patterned paper.
Now you can start putting your page together!  Adhere the vintage photograph in the center.  Add a seam binding bow to the top of photo and adhere a rose bud to center of bow with a glue dot.  Next glue down the Bella Rose leave/flourish in the loser left corner of photo.  Adhere the finished roses and posy flowers with glue and glue dots.  Adhere you "memories" sentiment to the lower right of vintage photo.
This is a close up of the paper roses I made.

In Memory Of Beverly...

Hi, there!  Today I am sharing a card I made in memory of my sweet friend, Beverly.  Beverly and I met via SCS about a year ago.  I must say that even though we never met in person, I feel so blessed to have known her and share our love of stamping as cyber buddies.  Beverly recently lost her battle to cancer.  Through it all, she remained positive and courageous.
Her sweet daughter was nice enough to send me a box of Beverly's stamps, so I sat down and created this card in her memory.  It made me smile to be able to use her stamps to create this card. :)

The trees are from Northwoods stamps and the sentiment is unknown.

TSOL: New jar dies!

Hello! Today I have a fun card to share using a new jar die from The Stamps Of Life.  The jar die matches the set, jars4candy set.  I also used the candy2share set, and masking, to layer my candies in the jar.  To create the jar shaped card, I just die cut two of the jars.  On the jar for the back, I scored a line about 1/4 inch down from the top and put a piece of score tape just above it.  This allows the card to open nicer.  I used Stephanie's inks in Strawberry, Licorice, Spearmint, Grape, and Banana.

Peace, Love, Noel...

Hello!  Can you believe that Christmas is just 43 days away? I know I can't! I need to get busy on some shopping.  I used a The Stamps Of Life set for this card called trees4Christmas.  I stamped the tree in green and then used a copic marker to color in the circle ornaments.  I used some new Trendy Tape to anchor my tree and stamped the sentiments in black below the washi tape.  The card didn't seem balanced so I added some baker's twine to the left side.

This is for the CAS-ual Friday's challenge 78-create a card with something torn on it (my washi tape is torn!)
This also works for Make It Monday.

TSOL: Buzzing by...

Hi, there!  Today I have a Flip-It card to share with you using new stamps from The Stamps Of Life.  I love the Flip-It dies created by Stephanie Barnard for Sizzix.  They are so much fun, and kids of all ages love opening them.  I always have a hard time keeping my boys away from them if I had made one and leave it sitting on my desk!
I used two sets on this card-bee4me and hive4bees.  I pieced the bees onto the blue card base, and then added glossy accents to their wings.  The floral paper is by Crate Paper, and the twine is from The Twinery.  I also used a SU corner punch for the corner pieces on both sides.
I always have a difficult time photographing these cards, so you can see how neat they are!  Below you can find them open on both sides.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Birthday Diamonds...

Hello!  Today I have a CAS card for you, using some different dies and stamps from The Stamps Of Life.  I created the diamond pattern using one of the chevron dies from TSOL.  It worked perfectly with the pattern on the frame stamp from the set, labels4cutting.  The labels in this set match the Sizzix Framelits dies, Fancy Labels #4 by Stephanie Barnard.  I also used Stephanie's Licorice ink by Clearsnap on this card.  The frame and sentiment is popped up using foam dots.
This card was easy and quick to make.  Perfect masculine card to keep in your birthday stash!

I am entering this card into this week's Casual Friday's challenge-to create a masculine card.
I am also entering this into the Make It Monday challenge
For the Sentimental Sundays challenge-add dimension.

TSOL: If Friends Were Flowers...

Hello! Did you all have a wonderful Halloween?  Ours was cold and rainy, but the boys had fun.  Will did not want to dress up this year, but I told him he had to at least wear a mask.  He ended up staying out the entire 2 hours and came back with a HUGE bag of candy. It is really kind of ridiculous how much candy he received.  My little guys have been way more interested in the "giving" of the candy in recent years (which I think is super cool). They stayed out about 25 minutes and were happy to come back to pass out candy.  They sat out in the cold till the bitter end, too!

Okay...the card.  I made this card with Stephanie Barnard's new Framelits and stamp sets for Sizzix.  I love these sets that come with matching stamps and dies.  This set can be found here.  I layered two of the flowers together, stamped the sentiment in black, and inked the edges with distress ink.  The background paper is from Prima, I believe. It was in my scrap bin!
