Project Life: Week 3

Week three of my project life album.  I so need lessons on how to photograph 12 x 12 scrapbook pages in page protectors!!!! Any suggestions or hints would be most welcome. :)
The snowflake dies are from MFT and the chevron die is from The Stamps Of Life.  I added some rhinestones and alphabet letters, along with some "chit chat" stickers from Tim Holtz.
I made the mini collage of ice sculptures with my Pic Stitch app.  It is perfect for grouping photos together, and it also allows you to do some cool photo editing.

You Warm My Heart...

Here is a super CAS card, using some of my The Stamps Of Life stamps, and some Freckled Fawn washi tape.  Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!  It is cold and snowy here in SW Ohio.  I am a lover of coffee and drink several cups a day even when it is 80 degrees out, but coffee is so much better on a cold day. :)

The coffee cup is from the set, coffee4two.  The sentiment and the heart is from the hearts2diefor set.

Project Life: Cover, Week 1 and Week 2

Sooooooo, here is the start of my Project Life album.  I chose to include photos of us from New Year's Eve for the cover.  I thought it would be a fun way to kick off my 2013 album.  I am working with the Seafoam and the Bridgeport kits.  I have been able to use items from both collections and they seem to work well together.
I kind of combined week one and week two on the first double page layout.  Week one was not really a full week, and I was busy cleaning up Christmas decor and getting my house back in order, so not a lot of photo taking opportunities!
Hubby and I celebrated our 14th anniversary on the ninth, so I included a coaster from Pappadeaux, where we ate dinner.  I also took a photo of the flower bouquet he got me, and cut it in half to fit the smaller pockets.

So far, I am loving Project Life.  I love the randomness, and how fun it is to include the silly things, along with the big events. :)

TSOL: Stormy weather....

Hi, there!  Today I have a couple of cards to share using the newly released clouds2cut die and stamp set from The Stamps Of Life.  I love that these clouds go perfectly with the umbrella4you set and the kites2fly set.  The inside of the card above reads, "you're a friend of mine".  This is the perfect card to send to a friend who needs some cheering up!
This next card also uses sentiment and raindrops from the umbrella4you set, along with the new cloud set.  I added a chipboard lightening bolt to this "get well" card.

I have been working away on the start of my Project Life album and loving every minute of it.  I will be sharing what I have done so far later in the week.

Thanks for stopping by,

TSOL: Hexagon Thanks!

Hello! I combined three different The Stamps Of Life sets to create this card.  The black hexagon outline is from the hexagons2love stamp set.  The sentiment is from the youare2square set, and the pattern used for the inside of the hexagons, is from the new back2squares background set.
I stamped the back2squares background in the pink, turquoise and yellow onto white cardstock. I then stamped the hexagon in black over the patterns, and cut them out.  I love the mix of geometric patterns with the neon colors.

My Project Life supplies arrived yesterday! HOORAY! Hopefully will have some things to post soon for you all.  I am excited to start scrapbooking again.  I do believe, this will be the perfect system for me to stay on task.  Thanks Ashley Newell for encouraging me to take the leap. :)

Hello!  Today I have a card using some beautiful new stamps from Heartfelt Creations.  I love that I can make CAS cards using their intricate designs.  I don't think you can go wrong with a red, black and white combination.  Sponging and distressing the edges, adds texture and dimension to any CAS design. Fold red cardstock so that base measures 4.25" x 5.5".  Cut white panel to measure 4" x 5.25".  Stamp bird image in lower left corner with red ink.  Stamp petite floral image in both upper corners in red ink.  Stamp sentiment in black ink.  Ink edges with red ink and distress edges with fingernail, scissors or distressing tool.  Adhere finished panel to red card base.  Apply black gems under sentiment.  Tie black satin ribbon into bow at top of the card.

TSOL: Wheely Happy Birthday!

Hi, there! I have another card to share using the fabulous new Pinwheels2stamp set from The Stamps Of Life.  I used the color challenge for the CAS challenge on SCS today.  This card will be perfect for my niece's upcoming birthday.  I popped the center with a foam dot and added a silver "candi" to the center.  I bought those silver circles at Archiver's last year, but never seem to get them out.

I have found it quite hard to get back into my blogging routine since the holidays.  Not sure why, and I hope it changes. I am anxious to get back into scrapbooking again.  You will be seeing more of that on my blog, along with my cards.  My project life goodies are due to arrive this week!  I think it is just what I need, to get my creative juices flowing again.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!

TSOL: Pinwheels2stamp

Hello! I have several cards to share today using the newest The Stamps Of Life release called pinwheels2stamp.  My first card uses the larger pinwheel. I love that different designs included to fill in the triangles.  I added some baker's twine for my stick, and some mini gems to replace the apostrophe's around the word wheel.
This next card, I simply stamped the smaller pinwheel at a diagonal.  I did the same with the sentiment.  Very easy, quick card to make.  I added some gems to the centers of the pinwheels.

Thanks for stopping by!
