Heartfelt Creations August Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to Heartfelt Creation’s August blog hop. Today I am sharing a little mini book made using a file folder. I love using file folders for mini albums. They are cheap, super durable and it is easy to create many different sized albums with them.
I used papers from The Blazing Poppy collection for this mini. I LOVE this paper collection! I own three pads of this paper because I don’t want to run out when it is retired!
Making a mini album or a larger album using Heartfelt Creations Paper pads simplifies the process sooooo much! Instead of stamping and coloring panels for an album, Heartfelt has done the hard work for you. The hardest part is picking out which panels to use because they are all so lovely!

This photo shows all of the tags and extras that I have stuffed in the pockets. Plenty of room for your journaling or for extra photos.
The hop starts at 8AM EST on Friday, August 30th, 2019 EDT and closes Monday, September 2nd at 11:55 PM EDT . Winner will be announced on the HC Facebook page on Wednesday September 4th, 2019. A randomly chosen comment from a mystery blog will receive a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations. To claim your prize please email Heartfelt Creations at socialmedia@heartfeltcreations.us with "Winner of the August Alumni Hop" in the subject line.
Below you will find a list of all of the blog hop participants for this month.

Enjoy!!!

Victorian Pink Feather Tree

Hello! Today I made a card with the Hero Arts October 2018 MMH kit. I was super excited to find this sold out, retired kit for a good deal in one of my Facebook groups. When I saw this cool tree die, I wanted to make a pink, Victorian feather type tree. I inked the tree with Spun Sugar distress ink. I then used a white pen to add some details to the trunk and branches. I added some stardust sticklers to the ends of the branches that pop up. After the Stickles dried, I went back and added some silver ornaments with my liquid pearls.

The background snowflakes are stamped in Spun Sugar and silver ink.

Thanks for checking out my card!

Hero Arts...dreaming of sunsets on the lake

Hello! Today I am sharing a card I made using the Hero Arts July 2019 kit. I knew I had to have this kit the minute I saw the first “sneak peek!”  I have spent many summers enjoying gorgeous sunsets over the water in the UP of Michigan. That is what I had in mind when making this card. My favorite sunsets up North are the skies that turn the water gold and orange.
I used Distress Oxide inks to create the sky and water on this card. I used Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Abandoned Coral. The trees were stamped using the Lime green and Forest ink cubes that came in the kit. My card base is A2 sized, and the stamped panel measures 5.25” x 4”.
Slowly but surely starting to get into a regular “stamping” routine again. It is so good for my soul and I have missed creating on a regular basis. 😊
