Butterfly in Blue...

Hello!  I wanted to share a card with you using a die cut butterfly and a stamped sentiment. Super easy and CAS.  The sentiment and butterfly die are from PTI's Signature Series Butterfly.  I added some rhinestones to my butterfly and a satin ribbon to the top of the card. The patterned paper is from Authentique.

It is a gorgeous day, today. I had some projects in mind, but I think I may just go read on the patio instead.  Baseball practice starts tonight for my oldest, and the twins are excited that their is a playground nearby.  Time to start readjusting our dinner time again.  It is funny how it changes over the course of the year. I would love to have a consistent dinner time ALL of the time, but it just isn't feasible.  The time change has thrown us all for a loop!  I always struggle with the "spring ahead" one hour.  Takes me weeks to readjust.  It is definitely worth the extra sunlight in the evenings! I am looking forward to backyard parties and cookouts with family and friends.

Love Squared....

Hi, there!  I made my first CTMH purchase a couple of months ago, and was super pleased with the quality and packaging of their stamps.  I made this card with a set that came with a kit called, Rock The Block.  I decided to keep this very CAS. I stamped the background pattern in Strawberry ink by Stephanie Barnard. I then stamped the LOVE in Licorice ink over that.  I used some foam dots to pop it against the white card base. Easy peasy, and definitely a card I can use for hubby's upcoming trip to stash in his suitcase.

Flipping for cars!

Hi, there! I have been dying to share some cards I made with a new Sizzix die.  These dies are called Flip Its. This particular die is the Fancy Frame Flip It.  They are so much fun to make, and PERFECT for little guys and gals.  My son was sad when I told him he couldn't play with this one.  I made it as an example for Sizzix, so I will have to try to replicate one for him!  Of course, it was only natural to use Stephanie's fabulous stamps with this die. Did you know she is a spokeswoman with Sizzix?  How fab is that?  I chose the cars2drive set from The Stamps Of Life, and paired it with some Crate Paper Toy Box DP.  I added a baker's twine bow to the DP panel.  The car and truck are both paper pieced.

I hope you love these new dies as much as I do! They come in several shapes-circles, squares, and hearts.

FWF-Unity Agapanthus

Hello and happy Friday!!! I have a card to share using some older Unity stamps. I have always just loved this stylized agapanthus image.  The flower image is from The December 2009 KOTM and the sentiment is from an older store kit.  I like the simplicity of this card. I almost stamped a sympathy sentiment, but decided that I could use it for more occasions, should they arise, by just using the "thinking of you".
I punched the circles from some scrap paper that is a couple shades lighter than SU's kraft. It was perfect against the vanilla, as the kraft cardstock was too dark.  I need to figure out what paper that is and if I have more of it.

Thoughts of You...

Hi, there! I still have remnants of Christmas projects scattered on one of my work tables in the craft studio! This vintage angel image from The Graphics Fairy, was one so I decided to incorporate her into the sketch challenge this week on SCS.  I paired her with some papers from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found collection. I pulled out my Regal Greetings ippity set to stamp the sentiment and the floral motif in the corner. All paper edges were distressed and inked with distress inks.  The card base is some old Sage Shadow from SU. It worked beautifully with the colors in the DP.

More Mums2stamp...

Hello! I am sharing a couple more cards with you that use the new release from The Stamps Of Life called, mums2stamp.  On the first card I stamped the mum in black and then used my stampamajig to stamp it again just slightly off center, to give it a bit of dimension.  I used the negative from a diecut to create a frame for my mum. I added some strips of black cardstock to the bottom of the card and some black kaiser pearls.

I love the simplicity of this card. I simply stamped the mums in orange and aqua. The sentiment is stamped in brown ink. Easy, peasy, one layer card!

Harmony...

Hello! Well, it seems I getting back in touch with my older "Stampin' Up" self! LOL!  Today's color challenge on SCS was wild wasabi, blushing bride and very vanilla.  I pulled out my Branch Out set and used a sentiment from Happy Harmony.  I used some old Wild Wasabi DP at the bottom and some May Arts pink, burlap twine.
Yesterday we woke up to an inch of snow on the ground and temperatures in the 20's. Today, it is sunny, gorgeous and nearing 60!!! Crazy weather, but I will take the sunshine any time.  Hard to believe that horrible tornadoes tore through communities not far from me a few days ago.  Luckily, we were north of the devastation, but the tornado sirens went off and we spent time in our basement that night. My heart goes out to the families who have lost so much.

Lucky...

Hi!  Today I pulled out some old SU sets that had never seen ink. I ordered the Defining Alphabet and Define your life sets in my very last order as a demo years ago.  Being of Irish heritage, I decided to make a St. Paddy's Day card. I paired the two SU sets, with shamrock stamps from Flourishes Irish Blessings set.  I added teeny tiny rhinestones to the centers of three of the shamrocks.  I pulled that green strip of cardstock out of my scrap bin.  It is not quite that bright IRL!

Go Fish Challenge #12-Rainbows!

Hello! I am a little late to the party, but wanted to post about the newest challenge over at Go Fish.  This challenge is all about rainbows. You can find the inspiration photo below:

 I LOVE the rainbow of cupcakes! Wouldn't that be fun for a St. Paddy's Day party? I made another card using the same layout, and a rainbow of dots to mimic the circles above.  I used a fabulous banner set from The Stamps Of Life called sign4froggy.

FWF-Unity Hydrangeas

Hello! Happy Friday! I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend with my guys.  No big plans, so who knows what we will end up doing!
My card today features some oldie but goodie Unity favorites.  The ledger background and hydrangea flowers are from one of my favorite sets, Moments In Bloom.  The sentiment is from the July2010 KOTM. I inked up my hydrangeas with some SU markers along with the leaves.  I stamped them on top of the ledger, which was stamped in bordering blue.  I used distress inks on all of my paper edges and distressed the edges with a pair of scissors.  The border punch used is MS, and the baker's twine is from The Twinery.

On a side note...thank you so much to all of my stamping friends who have supported me over the course of the past 24 hours.  Sometimes it is a risk to stand up for what you believe in.  It is hard to put on your brave girl boots, not knowing how others may or may not react.  In my heart, I know I did the right thing. I just wanted to let you guy knows how much I appreciate your emails, phone calls and love and support.  This stamping community of ours is THE BEST!
