Heartfelt Creations September blog hop!

Hello! Welcome to Heartfelt Creation's September blog hop. Today I have a card using the Sea Breeze collection. I needed a masculine card for an upcoming birthday, so I decided the lighthouse image from this collection would be perfect for the recipient. I used a card panel from the Sea Breeze paper collection. I then used the matching dies to cut the lighthouse image and rocks from the paper collection. I popped the rocks up with phone dots and used my cut image to cover the smaller image on the card panel. I added a sentiment and a wooden anchor embellishment to finish it off.

The hop starts at 8AM DST on Friday, September 25th , 2020 and closes Monday, September 28th at 11:55 PM DST . Winner will be announced on the HC Facebook page on Wednesday, September 28, 2020.

Heartfelt Creations August Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to Heartfelt Creation's August Blog Hop. I have made a card using the Classic Sunflower paper collection. I am sharing a "card in a box" today. This is not my my design or idea. In fact, you can find templates to create your own, all of Pinterest and the internet.

One great feature of the "card in a box" is that it looks great from all angles! This is the back where you would typically write a message. I chose a piece of paper that had a sentiment. It happened to fit perfectly once I cut it to the size I needed.

No matter where you put it on a table or shelf, it looks amazing from all sides!

Another great feature of the "card in a box"...it is super easy to mail! folds down flat for mailing and as soon as the recipient opens it, it will pop open for displaying.

A randomly chosen comment from a mystery blog will receive a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations. To claim your prize please email Heartfelt Creations at socialmedia@heartfeltcreations.us with "Winner of the August Alumni Hop" in the subject line.

Heartfelt Creations July blog hop

Hello. Welcome to Heartfelt Creation's July blog hop. I have created a card using paper and dies from the Sea Breeze collection. I love that some of the papers have the images already colored in, so I can just use my dies to cut them out to make a quick and easy card!

I layered two of the images on top of one another using dimensional dots to raise the top image up. I cut out one of the sentiment tags and tied it onto the top using red baker's twine. Easy peasy!

The hop starts at 8AM DST on Friday, July 31st , 2020 and closes Monday, August 3rd at 11:55 PM DST . Winner will be announced on the HC Facebook page on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2020.

Heartfelt Creations October blog hop

Hello! Today I am sharing a mini album featuring elements from the Festive Holy collection. I absolutely LOVE this collection, and sadly, it is being retired. I made the album out of 6x6 papers. I glued them so that each page also has a pocket. I created papers with tabs to place in the pockets and stamped some hollies in the lower corner.

I added some of the tags and cut outs from the paper collection, but the papers are so beautiful, you wouldn’t have to add any elements!

The tabbed cards that fit in the pockets are perfect for photos or journaling!

The hop starts at 8AM EST on Friday, October 25th, 2019 EDT and closes Monday, October 28th at 11:55 PM EDT . Winner will be announced on the HC Facebook page on Wednesday ,October 30th, 2019.

Heartfelt Creations August Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to Heartfelt Creation’s August blog hop. Today I am sharing a little mini book made using a file folder. I love using file folders for mini albums. They are cheap, super durable and it is easy to create many different sized albums with them.
I used papers from The Blazing Poppy collection for this mini. I LOVE this paper collection! I own three pads of this paper because I don’t want to run out when it is retired!
Making a mini album or a larger album using Heartfelt Creations Paper pads simplifies the process sooooo much! Instead of stamping and coloring panels for an album, Heartfelt has done the hard work for you. The hardest part is picking out which panels to use because they are all so lovely!

This photo shows all of the tags and extras that I have stuffed in the pockets. Plenty of room for your journaling or for extra photos.
The hop starts at 8AM EST on Friday, August 30th, 2019 EDT and closes Monday, September 2nd at 11:55 PM EDT . Winner will be announced on the HC Facebook page on Wednesday September 4th, 2019. A randomly chosen comment from a mystery blog will receive a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations. To claim your prize please email Heartfelt Creations at socialmedia@heartfeltcreations.us with "Winner of the August Alumni Hop" in the subject line.

Victorian Pink Feather Tree

Hello! Today I made a card with the Hero Arts October 2018 MMH kit. I was super excited to find this sold out, retired kit for a good deal in one of my Facebook groups. When I saw this cool tree die, I wanted to make a pink, Victorian feather type tree. I inked the tree with Spun Sugar distress ink. I then used a white pen to add some details to the trunk and branches. I added some stardust sticklers to the ends of the branches that pop up. After the Stickles dried, I went back and added some silver ornaments with my liquid pearls.

The background snowflakes are stamped in Spun Sugar and silver ink.

Thanks for checking out my card!

Hero Arts...dreaming of sunsets on the lake

Hello! Today I am sharing a card I made using the Hero Arts July 2019 kit. I knew I had to have this kit the minute I saw the first “sneak peek!”  I have spent many summers enjoying gorgeous sunsets over the water in the UP of Michigan. That is what I had in mind when making this card. My favorite sunsets up North are the skies that turn the water gold and orange.
I used Distress Oxide inks to create the sky and water on this card. I used Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Abandoned Coral. The trees were stamped using the Lime green and Forest ink cubes that came in the kit. My card base is A2 sized, and the stamped panel measures 5.25” x 4”.
Slowly but surely starting to get into a regular “stamping” routine again. It is so good for my soul and I have missed creating on a regular basis. 😊

Heartfelt Creations July Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to Heartfelt Creation's July blog hop! I used paper, stamps and dies from the Lush Lilac collection. Lilacs make me think of my Grandma's back yard and Mackinac Island! I adore the soft purples and greens in this paper collection. I used a tag and sentiment ticket and added some die cut lilac blooms down the side of the tag.

The hop starts at 8AM EST on Friday, July 26th, 2019 EDT and closes Monday, July 29th at 11:55 PM EDT . Winner will be announced on the HC Facebook page on Wednesday July 31st, 2019. Banana Split Birthday!

Hello! Today I have a card to share using some stamps and dies from The Stamps of Life. I have had this set in my collection for quite awhile, and have finally found some time to stamp with it. I colored my image with Copic markers and popped it out with some foam dots. Added a paper eyelet border with a baker’s twine bow.
Here is a close-up of the glitter glue I added to the toppings. The perfect finishing touch and just what this card needed.

Heartfelt Creations June Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the Heartfelt Creations June blog hop. This month I used the Classic Rose collection to create my card. I stamped my roses onto some of the dark red patterned paper from this collection and used the coordinating dies to cut. My leaves are stamped in black onto white cardstock and then sponged with Colorbox Olive chalk ink and then cut with coordinating die. I shaped my flowers and then layered them onto some of the patterned paper. My sentiment actually comes from the Blazing Poppy collection and is matted in black cardstock.

The hop starts at 8AM EST on Friday, June 28th, 2019 EDT and closes Monday, July 1st at 11:55 PM EDT . Winner will be announced on the HC Facebook page on Wednesday July 3rd, 2019.
