Hippity Hop-Warmest Wishes

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween.  Ours was a bit cold and windy, but the kids had a blast!  We had fun hanging out with neighbors and having our traditional neighborhood  fire and after party.

Today I have a card I made using a sentiment from the ippity set, Season of Joy.  I used some Jovial DP by Basic Grey, and some felt stitched ribbon.  I LOVE the plaid paper from this collection.  Time to start whipping out those Christmas cards!
For the past couple of years, instead of making 80 of the same Christmas card, I just use the cards I make for challenges and my blog.  They are all different, and I can kind of pick which card is best suited to the receiver.  No more stress and redundancy of making 80 of the exact same card.  I love it!  I also do not send out the volume of cards I used to.  I am a bit more choosy who I send my handmade cards to.  What are your plans for Christmas cardmaking?  I would love to hear!

Thanks for stopping by!

Emily

This is so pretty and sophisticated, Emily! I love that velvet bow, and the plaid paper is just the sweetest. Nicely done :)

Oh, Emily, this card is sweetly festive! It makes me want to reach out and feel that felt bow! I'm with you on handmade Christmas cards. I also make about 50 different ones and pick which one is suited to the receiver. Sometimes I might make 4-6 of the same one if I'm really into the design but usually they're all different! :)

Your card is so fabulous! I love the CAS look. Easy to mass produce! I made my cards (40) already! They are CAS too, with a snowflake texture (su) on dark cardstock, and white embossed sentiment from Season of Joy.

Love this card - great manly Christmas card and so warm!! I send lots of cards but I have been making several fun different ones for challenges, etc but will probably still end up mass producing some...

Love your card! The plaid is so cool. This year I'm going completely different on the card thing. I'm doing little nugget type boxes for everyone at work. Still repetitive but different.

What a fabulous card! It makes me want to curl up in a nice warm blankie. :)

I make cards for immediately family only, but I may get crazy this year and send a few more out with all this inspiration floating about!

This may be a dumb question, but... How do you get the bow tied and also fit so well around the card front or cardstock? I am just learning and would really appreciate your expertise. :)
