Heartfelt Creations April Alumni Blog Hop

Hello! For this month's alumni hop, I created some pages in my bible with the Blazing Poppy collection. I colored the images with Prisma pencils and stamped them in Ranger Black archival ink. I added some washi tape to the edges and under my tab.

Would you like a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Heartfelt Creations? Just comment on each of the blogs participating in the hop for a chance to win. The Hop starts 8am EST on Friday April 28th and closes Monday May1st at 11:59pm EST. The winner will be announced on the Heartfelt Creations blog and on FB on Wednesday May 3rd.

Here are a list of blogs for this month's hop:

Heartfelt Creations: Blazing Poppy mini album

Hello! Today I have a mini album to share with you using different elements from Heartfelt Creation's Blazing Poppy collection.  I used cardstock Project Life sized cards (3"x4") for the base and cover of this album along with tags and other elements from this beautiful collection.
All of my photos are square in size (about 2.5").
I picked favorite photos of the highlights of our summer, thus far!
I have learned NOT to be afraid to incorporate florals (which I love) into my scrapbooking of my boys. I think this collection is perfect with the bold red, black, green and white color scheme.
When creating mini albums, I also like to mix both color and black and white photos together. If I have a specific color theme for an album, I will sometimes choose photos where the colors may not match and instead use a black and white photo that is more neutral.
I like incorporating pages from old books into my layouts. Just make sure that you look at the text. Wouldn't want anything "inappropriate" next to your beloved photos! ;)

Make sure you check out the Heartfelt Creations blog for more inspiration from the design team. You will find product lists and instructions for recreating everything you see on the blog!

Heartfelt Creations: Blazing Poppy collection

Hello there! Long time no blog. I have two cards to share with you, using the Blazing Poppy collection from Heartfelt Creations.  The first card is simple and uses the paper from this collection and some embellishments. No stamping. No die cutting. Easy Peasy!
The second card is stamped, colored and distressed. Old Paper distress ink is my favorite for splattering onto paper to give it an aged look.

Make sure that you check out all of the creations on the Heartfelt Creations blog!
