Love You To The Moon and Back....

Hi, there!  Today I have a cute little treat box to share with you.  This was for the Free 4 All challenge over on SCS.  You can find the instructions and a lot more examples HERE.  I am going to stuff some money into this for my oldest son.  I just went to his first Middle School conference, and his teachers had nothing but good things to say.  He also has all A's and B's, so I am one proud mama.  I was worried about middle school being a big adjustment for him, with his ADHD.  He has been so busy with football and his First Lego League, and still managed to get wonderful grades.  I am beyond happy!

Onto the treat box....I used stamps from Tradefish Designs set, Out of This World.  It goes perfectly with October Afternoon's Rocket Age collection.  The moon is paper pieced and the UFO on the inside is stamped on patterned paper and also colored with some copic markers.  I added a little velcro for the closure.  These are so easy to make, and all you need is a 6x6 piece of patterned paper and a scoring tool!  You will find what the box looks like opened below:

Get Well Wishes

Hello!  Today's card is for the CAS76 challenge on SCS.  It is a sketch challenge this week, so go check it out!  Yesterday  I went to Archiver's with some friends, and bought some more of this lovely October Afternoon paper from Report Card collection.  I love this flower print with the blue, orange and yellow! LOVE it!  I made a rolled flower from some orange felt and added a vintage button to the center.

I am really proud of myself as I have been getting rid of TONS of old paper and stamp supplies.  I have sold several of my old stamp sets, and donated paper to various little girls in the neighborhood and threw out the rest.  I know...I actually threw away paper!  It was very dated and hadn't been used in many years.  I have definitely become better at buying my paper craft supplies!  Instead of just buying stuff because it is on sale or I think I need it, I only purchase those things that I absolutely LOVE!

I also use what I love.  I used to hoard my favorite papers away thinking I would save them for something really special, and that is just silly!  A lot of the papers I saved for just that reason I ended up throwing away because they seemed out of style or faded looking.

I only spent $28.00 at Archiver's yesterday!!!!  GASP!  I had so much fun going to lunch and shopping with my girlfriends and then coming back to my house to makes some cards!  FUN, FUN, FUN!

Hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!

EIC88-Very Vintage and Limelight!

This week our Etsy shop for your inspiration is Creation Designs.  I love all of the vintage looking stuff in the shop.  I even saw some glasses just like my grandmother used to have.  I loved those gold leaf glasses and I may just have to buy them!  I was inspired by the overall vintage feel of the entire shop when making my card and not one particular item!  I LOVE vintage!  I used DP from October Afternoon's Fly A Kite collection.  The stamp is from ippity's newly released Delightful Little Things set.  This set is a MUST have if you like sentiments!

This week our sponsor is Limelight Papercrafts.  Make sure you check out everything this store has to offer along with a wonderful sketch challenge!  I used this week's sketch challenge for my card above.  Mandy is graciously offering up Basic Grey Max epoxy stickers and Whiskers buttons as the prize this week! Also Creation Designs will offer a $20 gift card to their store!  Make sure you link you project to the EIC blog HERE.  Ashley will pick a random winner next Friday.  Also if you participate in the Limelight sketch challenge you will have another chance at a prize on the Limelight blog!

Hope you are inspired to make something wonderful!
