Peace On Earth and some family stuff!

Hello!  Today I have a card using a sentiment from Tradefish Designs set, Sentiments of The Season.  I used a punch from SU for my bird and branch.  I sponged green ink on the "text" paper limb.  I stamped the sentiment in the lower corner of my white panel first and then ran it through my Cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder.  I then adhered that to my white card base and added my bird and limb to the side.  I added some red baker's twine from The Twinery to the top.
Make sure you check out the newest GO Fish challenge!  You can find the details HERE.
Busy few days at my  house.  Max had surgery on Friday-adnoidectomy, ET tubes placed, and bilateral inguinal hernia repairs.  He is feeling much better, but cries when I have to give him ear drops.  Ear drops and eye drops for kids suck.  No other way to put it.
Yesterday, Will participated in a First Lego League competition.  It is a program that is based on science and technology.  He and his teammates had to come up with a research project based on food safety, which was the them this year.  They had to provide research evidence and a prototype invention that they developed to help make food safer to eat.  They also had to build a robot to perform certain tasks for points.  They had 2.5 minutes to get as many points with their robot as they could.  They acquired the most points so they won the top award for robot performance.  We were so happy and excited.  Here are some photos from the event, so humor a proud mama! :)
This is Will with the robot that he and his team built and programmed.
This is Will, team and coaches during the first round of robot competition.

It was hard to get good photos because we were not allowed in certain areas during the competition, but this is Will, coaches and team when they won the award for Best Robot Performance.  Will is in the middle!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Go Fish Challenge #4-A Sketch!

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card I made for the Go Fish challenge.  I just love the sketch and will definitely be using it again.  I pulled out my Sentiments Of The Season set from Tradefish Designs.  I love this set!  I decided to use some of my Authentique Christmas paper. Love that stuff, too.  I was able to find the perfect sentiment for that vintage Santa image.  The kraft strip was run through my CB with the swiss dots folder, and I tied some baker's twine around it and made a loopy bow.  I used distress inks on the edges of all of the papers.

Hope you can play along in the challenge!
