Let's Talk Turkey!

Hi, there!  Fall is swiftly approaching...my favorite time of year!  That can only mean pumpkins, jewel toned leaves, cooler temperatures and turkeys!  I have had some fun with this little guy.  The set is called turkey2stamp from The Stamps Of Life.  I used the butterfly wings from butterfly2build set for the polka dot part of his wings.
This card uses the turkey in a more traditional, Thanksgiving kind of way!  I still had to add some google eyes to this guy, too. :)
Last but not least, I turned that turkey body into a peanut couple!  I just used a copic marker to add some of the dimples.  Some other gals have turned that turkey body into a pear.  So cool to find new ways to use stamps.
I thought this would be a cute gift to give to hubby (a bag of mixed nuts).  Kind of an inside joke, as we have been dealing with some "nutty" (psychotic)  members of his family the past couple of weeks!  I think maybe my husband was adopted?!  LOL!

Have a great day!

Happpy Thanksgiving!

Happy Turkey Day!  Hope you all have a wonderful day with family and friends.  My card above uses some older DP from Daisy D's. Do you remember that company? I used to love all of their vintage designs.  The vintage turkey image is a free digi from Red Lead.  I added some seam binding and a paper flower.  The sentiment on the vintage digi reads:
Thanksgiving Joys
For love and better living,
For the knack of finer giving,
For the day we call Thanksgiving,
Father we give Thee thanks.

Wishing you blessings on this day and always,

Emily
