The Stamps Of Life: Strawberries2stamp!

Hi there! Just wanted to share some cards using the new strawberries2stamp set from The Stamps Of Life.  Perfect summertime creations using these stamps and matching dies. I didn't even use the strawberry image stamps on these cards. I just used the dies and some patterned paper along with a stamped sentiment from this set. Easy peasy!
I used Sweet Girl patterned paper from Echo Park for both of these cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

You Warm My Heart...

Hi, there! I wanted to share a card I made with The Stamps Of Life set, tea4two.  I sponged white acrylic paint on the edges of my kraft card base. I also stamped the heart garland with the white acrylic paint across the top. I then went back, and outlined the hearts with a prisma pencil.  I stamped the sentiment and the hearts onto an echo park journal box from the This & That collection.  I ruffled some old text from a book, and added a rolled rose to the center and some banners to create my rosette.  I love the shabby look and feel of this card.
Someone recently emailed me to ask if I was leaning towards "layered cards" and if I was going to stop making CAS cards.  While I know that I lean towards a CAS style, I certainly do not want that to define my whole realm of stamping.  I adore antiquing and anything vintage, so I have found great joy in creating vintage cards with all of the wonderful products available.  I will absolutely still make CAS cards too, as they make me happy!  So all I can say is you will be seeing both from me.  I also have vowed to get back into scrapbooking and complete some books for my boys, so you may even have to look at some of those on occasion! LOL!

I hope you are having a great weekend!

Go Fish Challenge #18 and FWF-A sketch for Father's Day

Hello! It is time for another Go Fish challenge! This week we have a sketch for you and would like you to use the sketch to make a Father's Day card.  This card will go to my dad. i used papers from echo park's This & That collection (LOVE), and the stamps are from the Unity/ippity set Authentic Man. I distressed all of my paper edges with Antique Linen and Walnut Stain distress ink.  The card image is stamped in the Antique Linen ink, too. I love the scrabble tile stickers that come with this collection from echo park. The colors are just YUMMY, too.
I made this card for Unity's FWF.  You can buy this cool ippity set from my pal Noelle. She ships for free, and gives 25 yards of free baker's twine with every order!!!
Below you will find the fab sketch photo:

FWF-Shine!

Hi, there! Happy Friday.  I am excited to be participating in a Unity Friends With Flair.  It has been too long!  I inked up the ippity set Shine, Shine, Shine.  I bought it months ago and it has sat unloved in my craft studio.  I inked the lamp in black and red ink.  I then went back and added some highlights with grey copic markers.  I also added some rhinestones to the lamp.  I used this week's sketch over on SCS (367). LOVE this sketch.  Super CAS, just how I like them!  The paper used is from echo park's "For The Record" collection.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I wanted to share this card I made using the new release from The Stamps Of Life, standup4sentiments.  I love all of the wonderful vertical sentiments in this set.  This card fit the "collage" challenge over on SCS today, too.  I used several die cut elements and papers from echo park's For The Record collection along with a die from Basic Grey's Saltwater collection.  I added some staples for effect and the baker's twine is from The Twinery.

PDCC86-A "Thank You" card

It didn't take long for me to get down in my craft room and create a card!  I decided to play along with The Play Date Cafe challenge.  The colors just scream summer to me!  I used some of my echo park "Splash" patterned paper and the stamp is from The Stamps Of Life, banners4all set.  I added some pink twine from The Twinery to finish it off.

I made this a "thank you" card because I noticed that I do not have a lot in my stash.  How did that happen?  I file away my cards after I make them into different categories, so that when I need a card for a certain occasion, I can find it easily.  I also periodically go through my cards and bundle them up and donate them to different organizations or nursing homes.  I have also gotten better about mailing out my cards instead of hoarding them!

Thanks for stopping by!

echo park...LOVE it!

This week, Paper Maniac is featuring projects using one of my favorite paper lines....echo park.  I made the card above with the Merry Christmas paper pack.  I love how adorable and affordable they are.  You get TONS of paper, journal boxes, borders, cardstock stickers, and adhesive alphas that are both big and large.  You can use the alphas on cards and scrapbook pages which is a big plus for me!
The newest addition of echo park, is the Wintertime collection.  I love the colors and the fact that you can use it for cards and scrapbook pages that are not Christmas themed.  Cute as can be!

This week Paper Maniac is also sponsoring the Wee Memories Challenge.  Head on over and check it out! You could win a gift certificate to the PM store for $20.00!
Hope you can play along!

Hello!  I have a couple of cards for you that are quick and easy!  The first one has NO STAMPING!  I utilized the fab paper and journal boxes in the Echo Park Merry Christmas collection.  I love me some Echo park! LOL!  I just added some rhinestones along the bottom panel, but the paper speaks for itself!

This second card uses a vintage image and sentiment from the Creative Scraps Altered Fairies collection.  I used my distress ink to sponge my nestie shape and glued the angel girl in the middle.  I love that this sheet of images comes with matching sentiments that you can cut out.

My FAVORITE Halloween paper this year!

Hello!  This year, my absolute FAVORITE Halloween paper is Echo Park's Happy Halloween collection.  LOVE it!  I purchased the paper kit at Paper Maniac (on sale for $10.07), and have had so much fun using the paper, alpha's and adhesive die-cuts.  The first card uses a journal box and some of the tiny alphas to spell out the "trick or treat".  I cut strips of DP to make the three spider web border strips behind the main image.

The second card uses the adhesive die-cuts on a cardstock base.  I doodled a border around the edge and cut the circle out of some of the DP and doodled around that, too.

I really love buying kits, especially for holidays.  There is always plenty of stuff for every kind of project, big or small!

Paper Maniac is having a sale on all fall products-20% off!  HERE is a link to all of the fall goodies!

H{ippity} Hop-Little White Flower...

Hi there!  Happy H{ippity} Hop!  Today I have a card that I made for the CAS challenge over on SCS.  The challenge was to use the colors turquoise, white and kraft.  I used some Echo Park DP and just cut out around the circles to make scallops.  I stamped the flowers from YOU Deserve set and cut out the larger of the two.  I stamped my sentiment from the Bitty Pixie Paisley set and then added some Kaiser pearls.  Very CAS, but I am happy with the way it turned out!

I am still offering FREE shipping on all of my ippity! Click HERE for my ippity page!

Lots of Dots....

Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Echo Park Citrus Circle (sweet summertime collection)
Accessories:  rayon seam binding, Cherry Ice smooch spray, vintage button

Hello!  Big sale going on at Paper Maniac this week!  All wood mounted stamps are 25% off and all Just Rite stampers are 35% off!  While you are there, you will definitely want to pick up some yummy papers from a new company called Echo Park!  LOVE them!  I used some today on my card!  It is so fresh and fun it speaks for itself!  I added a sentiment and some paper piercing to the bottom.  I also cut out around the circles on the DP to create scallops.
Using seam binding is all the rage right now, so I ordered 100 yards of it and decided to give it a try!  I used some Cherry Ice smooch spray, and sprayed about three yards until it was pretty saturated.  I squished it up into a ball, tied some twine around it and let it dry over night.  This morning, I untied it and had yummy, vintage looking, crinkle ribbon!  I will be making these in several colors.  Smooch spray is great for using with the Tim Holtz masks too!

Hope you are inspired to make something bright and summery!  Thanks for stopping by!
