Heartfelt Creations: Your Special Day...

I wanted share one more Heartfelt Creations card with you using this month's Garden Romance release.  I had fun masking to create the sky background for that beautiful, butterfly flourish. Supplies and instructions for recreating this card are below!

HCPC 3479-Wings Of Hope PreCut Set
HCPC 3481-Add-on Sentiments
other products:  white cardstock, post it notes for masking, Licorice ink by Clearsnap, Soft Sky, Baja Breez, Tangerine Tango, So Saffron  ink by SU, Glue Gloss by Clearsnap, Fairy Dust Glitter Donna Salazar for Clearsnap
Fold white card base to measure 4.25" x 5.5". Use post it notes to create a mask for your "sky". My masked area measures 3" x 4.5".  Sponge blue inks inside masked area to create sky effect.  Remove post it notes and stamp butterfly swirl image in black onto left side of card.  Sponge or color the butterflies with yellow and orange ink.  Add glue gloss to butterflies and sprinkle with fairy dust glitter.  Stamp sentiment in lower right corner of masked area in black ink.

Birthday Butterfly....

Hi, there!  I played along in the sketch challenge over on SCS today.  If you would like to play along click HERE.  It will take you to the sketch and thread.  For this card I used my My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two-Sunshine DP.  Love the yellows, blues, and browns in this one.  The butterfly is from ippity's Thankful for You set.  I stamped it in brown on some aqua, polka dot DP.  I distressed all of the edges of my paper with distress inks in Walnut Stain and Antique Linen.  I popped the butterfly image with foam dots and added a baker's twine loopy bow.

I am trying to get caught up on some household chores that have gone by the wayside the past week.  I feel like my mojo is in the toilet.  Sigh...difficult week.

Butterfly Birthday...

Hello! It is a beautiful sunny, hot but breezy day here. I plan on spending some time outside reading while boys are at school.  I have to take advantage of those "quiet" moments that will be few when school lets out.  Yes, I will miss my quiet afternoons, but I am excited to have them at home with me all summer.  We recently purchased an RV, and I am excited to take them camping.  Camping was such a big part of my life growing up, that to share it with my boys is thrilling!

Okay...on to the card.  I participated in the color challenge over on SCS-Rich Razzleberry, daffodil, and pacific point (or close equivalents).  I used some scraps of pink paislee and Lily Bee designer papers, along with some ribbon from my stash.  I also used a PTI die that I won from my friend Lynn's blog a while back.  I added some burlap string and a memo pin and vintage button.  The decorative tab I created with a Tim Holtz edge die. The sentiment is from TSOL.

Flutter by butterflies....

Stamps:   PTI Signature series

Hello!  Here are a couple of cards I made using butterflies!  Both are CAS cards yet very different.  Both of them use some of my older patterned papers, too! HOORAY for me! I have been trying to justify the big bunch of new paper collections I just ordered, so trying to use up a bunch of my older stash!

Thanks for stopping by today!
