Merry Kissmas!

Merry Kissmas!  I just LOVE this image and sentiment from Whimsie Doodles!  I think this gingerboy is the cutest!  I used today's sketch challenge over on SCS.  It is hard to see in the photo, but I added some Crystal Effects and glitter to the hat fur and the icing stripes.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!  Remember to check out my blog candy post!  I will announce the lucky winner on Christmas!

Friends With Flair and some NEW {ippity} inspiration!

Hello! I hope you are having fun today looking at all of the wonderful Unity inspiration!  I got my big box of {ippity} yesterday and couldn't wait to play!  The Kissmas and Mistletoe set makes me sooooooo happy!  I love it!  I couldn't wait to pair that snowman image with my d'vine swirl CB folder!  I also made a matching ornament to go with the card.  I took some photos for a quick little tutorial!

First you need to find an old spool from ribbon.  I got this idea from Patti, the owner of Paper Maniac!  What a great way to recycle those ribbon spools!  If you are like me, you probably go through ALOT of these!  I used my nesties to create my circles in brown and kraft-to match my card.  The snowmen are stamped in ridinghood red.  I sponged brown ink around the edges and over the raised swirls and also on my snomen.

Now you use some tacky tape to tape a band of ribbon around the spool.  I created a loop on one end so that I could create my hemp twine ornament hanger.

Clear as mud?  LOL!  The ornament is really easy to make!  Who wouldn't want to receive a homemade card and matching ornament?  I hope you give it a try.  Remember...FREE shipping on my {ippity} products the month of November!  Click HERE to shop!

Snowflake Joy!

This is for the limited supply challenge over on SCS. Here are the details:

1. The only image stamps/embossing you may use are snowflakes. Yup! Only snowflakes (or something that looks like falling snow). No snowmen, snowwomen or anything, just snowflakes! The same goes for patterned paper . . . it must be snowflakes!! (Get the idea?)2. Your creation must be monochromatic.3. You need to add some sort of “bling” or sparkle to your card. Stickles, rhinestones, shimmery paper or ribbon . . . make it sparkly!!4. Last, but certainly not least . . . sentiments may be ONE WORD only!

Stamp: Unity-Snowflake Joy set

Paper: Night of Navy, White, DSP by The Paper Studio

Accesories: Rhinestone brad, small rhinestones, stickles, silver cord, dimensionals.

I only inked up the large snowflake from the stamp. I used my SU markers-Bashful Blue and night of navy to color it in. Once I stamped it I added the stickles. I sponged both bashful blue and night of navy around the edges of the image panel.

I am off for a day of shopping with my gal pals! It has been quite some time since I have had a girly day! We are going out to dinner, too. An evening with no boys...I hope I can act appropriately! LOL! This SAHM soooooo needs to get out more! I think that will be my New Year's Resolution for the year!

Have a fabulous Friday!

Home for Christmas

This is a card that I made for my stamp class this past weekend. I adore this set, but it would have taken too long to color in for a stamp class. I decided to just stamp the image in kiwi kiss and then the sentiment over it in chocolate chip. This is a nice clean and simple layout, too. I wanted to demonstrate a Christmas card that would be easy to mass produce. I wish you could see this IRL, because stamped on the shimmer white paper, it looks beautiful!
I just love this sentiment! It makes me think of one of my favorite Christmas songs, "I'll Be Home For Christmas."

Stamps: Home for Christmas-SU

Paper: Kraft (base), chocolate chip, Kiwi kiss, white shimmer

Ink: Kiwi kiss, chocolate chip

accesories: gold brads
Have a lovely day and happy stamping!
