Hello! Happy Memorial Day! I feel kind of goofy posting a Christmas card on Memorial Day, but that is where my mojo led me! I just love the stamps in the Season of Joy set. I know I will be making lots of Christmas cards with this set! I let the patterned paper from Making Memories be my focal point and used a sentiment from this set in the lower corner. I tied on an old jingle bell that I scored at an antique store on with May Arts burlap string.

EIC90-Sunshyne Silverwear inspired!
Hello! It's Saturday, so it is time for another Etsy Inspired Challenge! This week we give to you Sunshyne Silverwear. They have some cute pendants made from spoons! I was inspired by the pink and purple colors in the pendant below:
I used stamps from Whispering Wings, a new release by Mark's Finest Papers. I did some masking and sponging to create the water and sky.
This week our sponsor is Claudine Hellmuth. She will be offering the collage art reproduction HERE as a prize. Also, Sunshyne Silverwear will be offering two spoon pendants. You have three chances to win this week, so go get crafty! Remember to use keyword EIC90 when uploading to online galleries. Also make sure you link us to your creation on the EIC blog HERE.

FWF-Embellish magazine butterfly color challenge
Happy Friday to all my Friends With Flair! Today I made a card with some stamps from Unity's May KOTM and used the embellish magazine challenge-kraft, black, green and butterflies! I LOVE the butterfly from this kit. It is probably one of my favorite butterfly stamps! I used a stamp from an ippity set, Season of Joy and stamped it on an old book page and then cut it out to mount the butterfly on. The houndstooth is Artisan tape from Pink Paislee. I also used kiwi kiss CS and a MS punch. I added some bling to my butterfly and paper pierced underneath the sentiment.

For my card I used a stamp from Unity's May KOTM. I paper pieced the wings and the heart with DP from Pink Paislee and Bo Bunny. Paper Manic salutes our nation's heroes...
Stamp: Flourishes Tag lines set
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: May Arts red burlap string, white button, SU punches
Hello! This week the theme at Paper Maniac is "HEROES". I decided to make a patriotic card to send to someone who is returning from active duty. I kept the layout clean and simple. I am in love with my May Arts burlap string!!!! It just seems to go with anything and everything! It is super affordable, too...only 6 cents a yard! Both the red and the blue paper are from Pink Paislee's 365 degree collection. I think this collection is perfect for summer with it's bright colors. I also love that the paper pads have a mix of solids and patterns. Hope you take a moment this holiday weekend to thank a hero in your life!
Thanks for stopping by!

H{ippity Hop-Anything Is Possible...
Happy Monday! I for one, am glad it's Monday...I had to work all weekend!!! It is graduation time of year and I made this for a young man who just graduated from college. I wanted to keep it simple with that powerful scripture. The paper is from American Crafts Metropolitan collection and the scripture stamp is from the newly released Delightful Little Things. This set is full of great quotes and sentiments and a must have in my book!

The art of Zentangle...2nd post today
So...today's What To Use challenge over on SCS was to try Zentangle. A very cool black and white type of doodling. Go HERE to find out more about it! I decided to make a CAS, one layer card. This also will be perfect for Cas-tastic Wednesday's challenge--to make a one layer card. I have always been a doodler, so this was right up my alley. I used various archival black pens on white cardstock. My sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and is from Unity's May 2010 KOTM. I also did a bit of paper piercing towards the bottom for effect.

embellish magazine challenge....
Hello! I made the card below for the current challenge over at the embellish magazine site! LOVE these colors! Part of the challenge was to create dimension on our card. I created dimension by using a chipboard square covered with baja breeze CS. I then adhered my bird image to that. The bird was punched out of a sheet of DP. All DP used on my card is from Crate Paper. I added some stitched, felt circle embellishments which also add dimension to the card. If you would like to participate in this challenge you have until midnight tonight!

Paper Maniac is all about Chipboard this week....
Stamps: Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous
Paper: Pink Paislee Queen Bee
I love to decorate chipboard albums with patterned paper and embellishments. So much fun! When you are finished, you can give them as a gift, ready for the receiver to fill with photos! The inside of this is unfinished, for now. I just used the chipboard and traced around vanilla CS to use as the pages. When the occasion arises, and I need a quick gift, I can add photos or quotes. I find that people love to get little mini albums filled with quotes, as much as photos!I always cover the back with coordinating patterned paper, however I left the back blank, to show you the unfinished chipboard. If you are in a pinch and don't have any chipboard, you can always cut apart an empty cereal box and decorate it to make an album!
Paper Maniac has TONS of fun papers, and embellishments to decorate your chipboard projects with! Make you sure you stop by! :)
Hope you are inspired to try a mini chipboard album out!

Altered book kit pre-orders
I have had quite a few people email me about my altered book I made for the ippity release. I have decided to offer kits on a pre-order basis. Obviously, the hardback books would be different, so no two kits will be alike, but each kit will include a Books A Flutter stamp set, and all of the embellishments, and a 6x6 October afternoon paper pack to make one of these shadow box books. In doing this, you can pick and choose which October Afternoon papers you would like to add to your book to make it your own! I will also have the book already cut out for you, ( this is the hard, tedious part!)so all you have to do is assemble it!
I am going to offer these kits as a PRE-ORDER for $35.00. This will include the shipping.
Please email me at emmielouwhostamps@yahoo.com if you are interested. I will then send you a pay pal invoice!
Thanks for all of your lovely comments about my altered book! :)

EIC88-Very Vintage and Limelight!
This week our Etsy shop for your inspiration is Creation Designs. I love all of the vintage looking stuff in the shop. I even saw some glasses just like my grandmother used to have. I loved those gold leaf glasses and I may just have to buy them! I was inspired by the overall vintage feel of the entire shop when making my card and not one particular item! I LOVE vintage! I used DP from October Afternoon's Fly A Kite collection. The stamp is from ippity's newly released Delightful Little Things set. This set is a MUST have if you like sentiments!
This week our sponsor is Limelight Papercrafts. Make sure you check out everything this store has to offer along with a wonderful sketch challenge! I used this week's sketch challenge for my card above. Mandy is graciously offering up Basic Grey Max epoxy stickers and Whiskers buttons as the prize this week! Also Creation Designs will offer a $20 gift card to their store! Make sure you link you project to the EIC blog HERE. Ashley will pick a random winner next Friday. Also if you participate in the Limelight sketch challenge you will have another chance at a prize on the Limelight blog!
Hope you are inspired to make something wonderful!

FWF-happy...
Happy Friday! I made this card with stamps from ippity's new release-A Little Buggy. This is such an adorable set! I used the color challenge in celebration of the new ippity releases-lavender, turquoise, and green. This is also for the Cas-tastic Wednesday challenge (thanks Bonnierose for letting me know!). nThe circle border is from K&Co poppy seed collection. The colors were perfect for the challenge and I like how it went with the modern, circular flowers in this set.

Paper Maniac is all about altered items this week!
Stamps: Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous
Paper: Brown paper bag, scrap of off white CS
Accessories: paper towel roll or toilet paper roll, May Arts black burlap string, glue
Hello! Paper Maniac is focusing on altered items this week. Today I have an easy project you can do with items you probably have in your home right now! These little party favor crackers are perfect for gift giving. You can fill them with candy, money, or any small items. I plan on putting money in the butterfly cracker to give as a graduation gift.
The paper bag I used is one that my Unity KOTM arrives in every month. I like that it is a bit thinner and lighter weight than a regular grocery bag. After stamping your desired image onto the bag, flip it over and apply glue to your paper roll. Wrap the bag around and add a little extra glue at the overlapping seam. Make sure to fill your cracker with goodies before tying the ends with burlap string or ribbon of your liking.
I hope you are inspired to give these a try! Thanks for stopping by!

H{ippity} Hop-You're Fintastic!
Sooooo...this poor little ippity set has been neglected by me! It was one of my favorites when they first showed us the last new release, but I just now got it inky! The sentiment in the inside will read, "You're Fintastic!" I colored my fishy with Copics and added some detail on the scales with a Sakura star dust pen. I used my spritzer and a chocolate marker to spray the kraft paper to look like sand.
Here is a close up of the details. Sooooooo much fun to color this fish!
New {ippity} release this Thursday! Please email me if you would like to pre-order the entire new release bundle. emmielouwhostamps@yahoo.com. All of the new releases for only $125.00 plus FREE SHIPPING. That is 10 stamp sets, and a sampler pack of 6x6 paper all for $125.00 plus FREE SHIPPING! You can't beat that!

FWF-You Give Me Happy Butterflies...
Hello! Happy Friday! I was excited to ink up these butterflies and sentiment from my April KOTM. I used some newly purchased DP from MME's Home collection. I added some faux stitching and burlap string to finish it off. I sprayed some Marshmallow Glimmer Mist on it too, but dang...I just can not photograph glitter well. It's there, though! Below is a close up:
I popped my butterflies with dimensionals, and heck...you still can't see that glimmer mist!!!! Oh, well.
I have some more Unity goodness for you, though!

Paper: Cosmo Cricket-Material Girl
Hello! This week Paper Maniac is focusing on Mother's Day cards and gifts. Today I have a great mother's day gift idea for you! This would be a great idea for any crafty ladies in your life. I bought a chipboard album from the dollar bin at Michael's and took three of the boards and covered them in DP from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl collection. I used stamps from the April Unity retail kit. LOVE those sewing images. I added buttons, pins, burlap string, vintage lace and satin ribbon to decorate the panels. Below you will find some close ups of the panels. I ran the satin ribbon through the holes on the chipboard to connect the panels. This is a quick, easy and inexpensive project for all of those crafty ladies in your life!
