Vintage Flowers....

FINALLY able to sneak into my craft room last night!!! I can't believe that June is almost over.  I think this has been the busiest summer EVER!  I used some of my neglected "Kitsch" paper from Girl's Paperie.  I LOVE that vintage looking font!  I used on of the bouquet of flowers for my focal point.  I used a spellbinder's die to cut it out and frame it.  The red baker's twine seemed like the perfect finishing touch for these "kitsch" papers!

This card works perfectly with this week's OTWC challenge! Red, white, blue and yellow...YUMMY!

Thanks for stopping by.  Sorry no post since Saturday.  I need to put aside time this summer to do what I love.  My theory of cutting back at work= more stamping time has completely backfired! LOL!

Thank You Daisy....

Today I have another great card using the daisies2garden set from The Stamps Of Life.  I paired it up with some of my My Mind's Eye, Lime Twist DP.  I punched the center of a scallop circle in baja blue and then stamped my daisy and sentiment in the center.  Easy Peasy!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!

Zebra Stripes!

Hello! Today I decided to join in the Free 4 All challenge over on SCS.  Today's challenge was to use stripes on your card.  I decided the zebra print background from animals4prints and the zebra print star from all4stars from The Stamps Of Life would be perfect.  I added some black glitter around the edge of the background panel.  The inside sentiment reads, "You Rock"!

For animal print goodies from this set, check out my previous post HERE.

You Are Special!

Hello! Today I have a card that I made for one of the teaching assistants in my sons' pre-school class.  I used the sets kids2love and extras4kids from The Stamps Of Life.  I have had a lot of fun making jean shorts for the boy in this set!  I also used some DP from My Mind's Eye, Lime Twist collection.  I colored his hat, shirt and shoes with Copic markers and cut a tiny star from the DP to add to my layered circles with the sentiment.

Still trying to get back in the groove of creating.  So much stuff to get in order when you get back from a trip, not to mention three boys on summer break!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

PDCC86-A "Thank You" card

It didn't take long for me to get down in my craft room and create a card!  I decided to play along with The Play Date Cafe challenge.  The colors just scream summer to me!  I used some of my echo park "Splash" patterned paper and the stamp is from The Stamps Of Life, banners4all set.  I added some pink twine from The Twinery to finish it off.

I made this a "thank you" card because I noticed that I do not have a lot in my stash.  How did that happen?  I file away my cards after I make them into different categories, so that when I need a card for a certain occasion, I can find it easily.  I also periodically go through my cards and bundle them up and donate them to different organizations or nursing homes.  I have also gotten better about mailing out my cards instead of hoarding them!

Guess Where I have been?

Seaside Photos

Hello, friends!  You may have noticed that I haven't been posting as much.  I have a good reason...I have been relaxing on the beach!  Just got back Saturday evening.  I feel funny about sharing when I am out of town on my blog so I always pre-schedule some posts.
We were in Grayton Beach, Florida.  It is east of Destin.  The beaches are just GORGEOUS, and the beaches of Santa Rosa, Grayton Beach and Seaside or some of the cutest, quaintest beach towns that I have ever been to.  I had delicious, fresh seafood almost every single day, and I actually have some nice color (amazing for any red head)!

I am hoping to get into my craft studio SOON!  I may even have a card for later today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to catch up on blurfing soon!

Thinking of You Daisies....

Today's card features stamps from the a new set from The Stamps Of Life called, daisies2garden.  This set is super versatile with lots of daisy sizes and great sentiments in a typewriter type font.  I simply stamped the outline border of daisies and then went back and stamped the solid daisy image in red to fill them in.  I added some black half pearls to the middles of the flowers.

Super easy peasy!

Thanks for stopping in today.  Look for more cards from this fab set...I LOVE it!

LOVE 2 SHOP!

Hello!  Today I have a card and a matching gift bag to share with you.  I used two new sets from The Stamps Of Life called animals4prints and extras4kids.  The extras4kids set goes with the kids2love that I showed you earlier this month.  The shopping bag and "love 2 shop" sentiment are meant to be used with the girl, BUT...I wanted to show you that you could use those little icons and sentiments by themselves, too!  My sister has a birthday coming up and she is a shopper, so she will love this.  She also loves red and it wouldn't be beyond her to wear something with an animal print! LOL!  The DP I used on this card is from echo park's For The Record collection.

Below you will find a matching gift bag.  I used an oval punch to punch out a handle on a small kraft lunch sack.  I stamped the leopard print onto the tag and used a sentiment from labels2use.  I tied it on with some red baker's twine to match the red in the card.
I hope you are inspired to make your own card and matching bag! I love using little kraft bags and adding a tag. Easy Peasy!

You're A Star!

Hello! Today I have a card using the all4stars set from The Stamps Of Life.  I used the sketch challenge over on SCS from Wednesday for this one.  The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye Lime Twist.  I stamped the stars in So Saffron, Wild Wasabi and Blue Bayou. I tried to match some of the colors in the DP.  I added a little baker's twine under the sentiment from The Twinery.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello, My Friends!

Hello, my friends!  Today I have another fab set using the kids2love set from The Stamps Of Life.  I am showcasing the little girl today! Check out my post from yesterday to see the little boy and dog.  I pieced her dress with some patterned paper from Crate Paper.  I colored her shoes with a brown copic marker along with her cheeks.  I really like how she looks on the kraft!  I sponged some white acrylic paint on the edges of the card base and added some pink baker's twine from The Twinery down the side.

There are so many cool things to do with this set!  Check out the club member benifits HERE.  You can get a stamp set sent to your house for only $11.95 a month!  That price INCLUDES shippping!!!!  Even if you don't want to commit to being a club member, you can still buy these stamps for fabulous prices and every stamp set from The Stamps Of Life ships for $1 a set in the US!

I know that before I became a member of the design team, I always looked forward to getting my club set every month!  In fact, I am going to give a club membership to my mom this year for her birthday in July.  Don't worry...she is not a blogger, so the secret will stay safe!

The Stamps Of Life June Release!

Hello!  Today I wanted to share a card with you, using the newest release from The Stamps Of Life, kids2love.  I just love how cute and simple the boy, girl and dog are in this set.  Their clothes are so much fun to piece, which is exactly what I did on this card.  I just pieced the shirt with red cardstock and pieced the shorts with some scraps of denim from a pair of old jeans.  The dog is pieced with kraft cardstock, that I then sponged with distress inks.  I created a leash form the dog with some red baker's twine from The Twinery.  The shoes, and face are all colored with copic markers.

Stay tuned for more cards from this new set!  Tomorrow I will have a card showcasing the little girl!

Thanks for stopping by!

FWF: Embrace Your Funky Self Journal

Stamps: Unity by Melody Ross-One Of A Kind set
Paper:  Crate Paper Restoration DP
Accessories:  vintage lace and buttons, rhinestones from my stash, crate paper chipboard element, safety   pin

Hello!  I couldn't remember if I had shared this journal on my blog yet. If I have, so sorry! I tried to go back and find it, and after 5 minutes just decided to post it (I am not a patient gal)!  For today's Free 4 All challenge on SCS, we were to make anything but a card.  I made this several months ago, but thought it was worth sharing.

Having three kids makes for busy days that sometimes seem chaotic at best.  I am REALLY far behind on my scrapbooking, so I decided to keep a little notebook or journal in my purse, so that when my kids say something that I want to remember, I will have it recorded on paper.  It always makes me so mad when I try to think back on a moment, and know that one of the boys said something profound or just darn cute, but I can't remember it EXACTLY.  This has helped me out a great deal.  I will admit that sometimes I am even too busy to drag it out of my purse and write, but I am certainly catching more than I ever used to.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Wee Memories Challenge-Inspired by Pinterest

Hello! Today I have a card for you using papers and die cut chipboard elements from Crate Paper's Restoration collection.  I also added some vintage crocheted lace I picked up on my last trip to the antique mall and some baker's twine from The Twinery.   The sentiment is from Flourishes Tag Lines set.  I sponged some distress ink over all of the papers (antique linen and walnut stain).

Yellow is not a color I reach for too often, but I just love yellow and blue together.  So bright and cheerful.
This is for the Wee Memories Challenge-to be inspired by a Pinterest image.  I chose the image below:
Super fun! I don't know if I would be daring enough to do the yellow and blue in my house, but love it on my card!
Thanks for stopping by today!
