EIC77-Inspired by Whales

Time for another EIC challenge!  Sorry I am late posting!  This week's shop for your inspiration is United Thread.  There are some amazing paintings in this shop.  Everything is an original too.  I really loved all of the whales in the shop, so that is what I used for my card inspiration.  The stamp is from Unity's Mix up of Cuteness set.  I colored it with some Prisma pencils.  The papers are bashful blue and soft suede.

This week our sponsor is Sakura.  I think everyone is familiar with their products whether it is the quickie glue pen or their fabulous gelly roll pens!  They are offering up a fabulous prize this week:
United Thread will also be offering a print of the winner's choice up to $25.00!  Remember to use keyword EIC77 when uploading to online galleries.  Also make sure you link your card or project on the EIC blog HERE.  Lot's of great prizes to win this week so get busy creating!

FWF-Wishing for SPRING!

Hello!  Today I made a card with spring in mind.  I am quite tired of all of the snow!  I pulled out some Basic grey Origins DP, and my February Unity in store kit, which I hadn't inked up yet!  I love the trees in this image.  I decided to give them a spring "glow" and some sparkly green leaves.  I stamped the image in soft suede and used my copics for the glow around the trees and the leaves.  Added some glitter to the leaves and some leaf green satin ribbon.  You can purchase the Unity in store kit and the BG Origins DP from Paper Maniac!

Have a fabulous Friday!

Spring {ippity} Chick!

Hello!  I was so excited to get my new {ippity} releases yesterday afternoon!  I absolutely love this set, Sweet Thoughts of Spring.  I know I am very ready for spring.  More snow flurries here today!  All stamps are from the Sweet Thoughts of Spring set.  The DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl collection.  I went antiquing at some local shops last week and scored this piece of vintage lace!  It seemed the perfect fit for the stamps and the paper.  I colored my chick with Prisma pencils.
One thing I LOVE about this set is the scallop border stamps that come with it! FABULOUS!
If you would like to order {ippity} from me click HERE.  Each set ships for $2 with a max shipping rate of $5!  You can purchase the whole bundle of new releases for only $135!  I will ship this bundle FREE!

A simple H{ippity} Hop card!

Hello!  For today's H{ippity} Hop, I mad a CAS card.  My cyber stamping buddy, Judi Rose was the featured stamper on SCS yesterday, so this is the card I made to honor her.  I CASE'd her card layout found HERE.  Congrats to Judi!
I used a sentiment from Simply Home.  I punched 3 squares of DP from BG's Origins.  I tied some hemp twine and added a vintage button from my stash.  A quick and easy card!
Thanks for stopping by!  If you would like to purchase {ippity} from me click HERE to see the menu of stampy goodness!

Quick and Easy Scrappin'!

 Page Ingredients
AccessoriesApple Jack Flag Banner Stickers, various ribbon scraps from my scrap bin!, circle alphabet die cuts from Colorbok

Hello!  I have some scrappy goodness for you again today.  I have to admit that I haven't done a lot of scrapbooking in a while.  It is hard to keep up with 3 boys and all of the photos and event of the year.  I have come to the conclusion, that it is easiest to just make three of the same layout to save time.  The photos above are from an outing to a local park last spring.  I picked my favorite photo of each boy, and did the same layout for each.  I used the same paper collection, but varied each page a little.
I am totally in love with the new Apple Jack collection from Sassafrass Lass!  The flag banner card stock stickers are wonderful, too!  Perfect for both SB layouts and cards! You can find this at Paper maniac!
I love to distress on both SB pages and cards and did a lot on these pages.  When you have a simple layout, it adds some texture and depth.  Hope this inspires you to get some scrappin' done!

Paper Maniac Baby Blog Hop!

Card Ingredients
Accessories Kaiser latte pearls, 1 3/8 circle punch and 1/2 and 1/4 circle punch, white decorative trim by Doddle bug

Hello!  Welcome to Paper Maniac's Baby Blog Hop.  Our fellow DT member, Jessica just gave birth, so we decided to honor her and her new bundle of joy with a hop!  You should be arriving from Stephanie's blog.  If you want to do the whole hop (9 stops total) you should start back at the Paper Maniac blog.

To make the baby carriage, I punched out one circle, cut it in half for the bottom and then cut 1/4 for the top.  Easy peasy!  I drew in the cross bars on the bottom and then punched smaller circles for the wheels.  I added some small Kaiser pearls to the wheel center.

Leave a comment on all of the blogs for a chance to win some blog candy from Paper Maniac!   A random winner will be chosen on Wednesday February 24th.  The photo of the candy is below:
Your next stop on the hop is Ceal's blog.  Have fun hopping and thanks for stopping by!

EIC76-Enchanted Beehive

It's time for another Etsy Inspired Challenge!  This week's shop is pretty amazing!  Enchanted Beehive has some amazing soaps and pendants for your inspiration.  I drew inspiration from the name of the shop! LOL!  Feast your eyes on these soaps:
Can you believe all of the detail?  I would buy them and never use them!  Way too pretty!  Our sponsor this week is Doodle Palace digital stamps.  They have some super cute images, so make sure you pay them a visit!
Please remember when uploading to online galleries to use keyword EIC76.  You also need to link your card to the EIC blog HERE.  A random winner will be chosen Friday.  The prizes this week- one item of your choice from the Enchanted Beehive shop, and two digi image downloads from Doodle Palace.  And...another random winner will be chosen by the Enchanted Beehive to win something too!  You better get busy, because that is a chance at three prizes! HOORAY!

FWF-Can You Believe I made a scrapbook page?

Hello!  Well I did it...made a scrap book page!  It took me forever, but I was determined to make at least one page yesterday!  I don't know where my scrappy mojo went, but I do wish it would come back!  My pages don't come together as easily as they used to, but I like how this one turned out.
I used some Cosmo Cricket The Boyfriend paper for this.  I did a little cross stitch next to the chiboard name.  I distressed with my distressing tool and some Walnut ink.  The school house is from a KOTM (can't remember which one).  I colored it in with Prisma pencils and the smiley faced boy is from Middle School Madness.  I wanted the title/journaling box to look like someone had doodled it in their notebook.  I plan on making a page like this for all three of my boys for the first day of school this year.  I decided to showcase Luke, since the other two boys have had their photos on my blog recently.  Didn't want little Luke to feel left out!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Daisy Hello!

Hello there!  Who is ready for spring?  ME, ME, ME!  I decided to make a card with one of my favorite flowers, a gerbera daisy.  The What To Use challenge over on SCS is to use orange on your card, so this is what I came up with.  The gerbera daisy is from The Digi Shack.  Toni is opening back up The Digi Shack for business, so I decided to give her a plug!  I really love this image and it was so fun to color in with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Unity's January retail kit.  I used some Bermuda Bay paper and ribbon and Dusty Durango from SU.
Thank you to all of you lovely ladies who have purchased stamps from my Garage Sale!  I have two large orders coming of new releases from Paper Maniac and from ippity, so that will help pay for my new things!  I still have stuff available for sale, and will be adding more over the course of the month!  Hope you all enjoy your new stamps!

Birthday Numbers...

Check out the new {ippity} stamp release!  Click HERE to see what I have for sale!  I have competitive prices and great shipping!
Hi there!  Here is another challenge card I made for the new ippity release.  I used stamps from Life's Little Moments for this one.  For the challenge we were to use stamps to create a background pattern.  My main panel I made with the square number stamp and just stamped it repeatedly in a horizontal line.  I seem to have misplaced my stampamijig so I had to eyeball lining it up!  The half-circle in the background, has numbers and all of the months around it.  I circled the month and day of my Dad's birthday.  His bday is coming up in March, and I thought this was a clean, masculine looking card.  I tied some Offray gingham ribbon at the bottom.  It is always hard for me to not include ribbon on my cards---masculine or not!
My boys actually are going to school today-HOORAY!  Yesterday's snow day was rough for my oldest.  He was bored to tears and upset that all of his friends were either at babysitters, or grandparents houses, so no one for him to play with.  I tried to make the day fun with making homemade playdough and baking, but he was not having it! LOL!  I am hoping to get some projects done around the house while they are all gone this afternoon.  I will probably just end up stamping instead! LOL!  Wish me luck!

Using fabric on your projects....

Check out the new {ippity} stamp release!  Click HERE to see what I have for sale!  I have competitive prices and great shipping!
Hello!  Just wanted to share this card I made for one of the new release challenges for ippity, yesterday.  Heather challenged us to use fabric, canvas, or tulle on our project.  I have oodles of counted cross stitch linen and aida canvas.  Needlepoint and counted cross stitch are hobbies I haven't visited in a long time.  I am still waiting for my new ippity releases to get here, but I used the Live Simply set for my card.  I love the folk art feel of this set.  I stitched around the aida cloth with red embroidery floss.  I added some gingham Offray ribbon.  The rusty metal star is actually something that fell off of one of my Christmas decorations this year, so I thought to save it for a project.  I distressed the edges of my paper and added a heart button from my stash.  I used black Staz on ink to stamp my willow tree onto the fabric.  I had to try this twice, because the first one was too light.  You really need to press very hard to get a dark image, even with the black ink.  I believe it is because this cloth is kind of bumpy.

Guess what?  I won a free {ippity} T-shirt last night for this challenge card! HOORAY! :D

Thanks for stopping by!  I will be adding the new ippity releases to my ippity page sometime today for ordering!

MORE SNOW and GARAGE SALE reminder!!!!

Hello!  Tons more snow in SW Ohio today!  It was so beautiful driving home from work this morning.  I stopped at the store to grab a few things and by the time I came out to my car, I had to scrape again!!!
I actually took these photos of my oldest DS yesterday.  He and DH built an igloo yesterday.  Now the igloo is pretty much covered 1/3 of the way up, but I am too warm and too lazy to go take a photo right now! LOL!
I am hoping to get in some stamping time later on, but for now I just wanted to remind you of my STAMP GARAGE SALE!  Everything MUST go! LOL!  I will probably be listing tons more stuff in the future, once I really start moving stuff into my new space!  It is so hard for me to part with anything stamping related, but I figure if I haven't used it in over a year, then it needs to be passed on to someone who can give these stamps some love!

Hope you all are safe and snug!  I will try to post a card later on today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy Valentine's Day!  I have a sweet treat arrangement for you today.  I just love the poofy flowers that are popping up everywhere, and I love making them.  I thought they would be perfect mixed in this "sweet treat" arrangement I made for hubby.  I made some yummy chocolate cake pops and stuck them with the poofy flowers.  I thought the newsprint flowers would be more of a masculine look with the red!  The archival newsprint by Donna Salazar, has been a HOT item at Paper Maniac!  Patti has more on order, but you are definitely going to want to check it out when it comes back in!  Especially at the low price of $3.99!  It looks like real newsprint but is acid free and safe for all of your projects!  How cool is that? You can find a photo of this paper kit below:

I also used some Early Bird DP on my little gift card.  The base is Kraft cardstock and is 3x3 in size.  I cut out the I love you from the newsprint paper for my sentiment.
Make sure you check out Paper Maniac as they have a bunch of new releases arriving daily!
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

EIC75-Spin Designs and Dustin Pike!

Welcome to another Etsy Inspired Challenge!  This week's shop for your inspiration is Spin Designs.  They have some gorgeous pieces of jewelry in their shop.
I went with the whole LOVE theme, since we are one day away from Valentine's Day.  I chose one of Dustin Pike's adorable dragon images for my card.  Dustin Pike is our wonderful sponsor this week.  If you have never seen his work, go check it out!  Love his whimsical images-especially the dragons!
This card will go to Max, one of my 3 year old twins.  He LOVES dragons.  I colored him with Copics and stamped the Be Mine, from SU's Sweet Talk set.  That is an old school SU set that I will never part with!  The DP is from Cosmo cricket's Early Bird collection and the ribbon is Offray.  I matted the image with some Soft Suede from SU.
To play along with the challenge make sure you use keyword EIC75 when uploading to online galleries.  Also link your card or project back to the EIC blog HERE.  One random winner will be chosen next Friday to win $10.00 worth of images from Dustin Pike!

Now go get creative and show us what you've got!

FWF-Valentine Treat Bags!

Happy FWF Friday!  Whooooo...I am glad that Valentine parties are over!  I am treat bagged out!  I made 24 of the treat bag's above for my oldest son's birthday, and 12 for the twin's pre-school class.  I used a sentiment from the January Unity in store kit.  The paper is from Target's dollar bin.  I fell in love with it-especially for $1!
I used THIS tutorial on SCS for the bag template.  They are really pretty simple to make, but making 36 took FOREVER!  I hope that everyone is safe and warm!  No snow today, but the kids are home from school for a teacher in-service day.  I am hoping for naps for the twins, but that is unlikely!  With all of the snow days, I haven't gotten much accomplished around the house this week.  Oh, well!  Playing games, coloring,  and making cupcakes is soooooo much more important anyway...right?
Have a fabulous Friday!

Easter Egg Wishes...

Hello!  Today I made a card using my new set from Stephanie Barnard's The {Stamps} of Life.  This is February's set eggs4Easter.  She has a monthly club and you can score her newly released set each month for $11.95!  That includes the shipping, people!  Her stamps are clear and stamp like a dream!
Make sure you check out her site HERE.
This was a super easy card to put together.  I used yesterday's SCS sketch for this one.  The pink and green paper is American Crafts Backyard collection.  I pulled out some old Hodgepodge hardware and used a sharpie to color it black.  Will I ever use all of that stuff?  LOL!
Make sure you check out my Stampin' Up stamps I have for sale in the post below.  I need to make room for all of the new stuff I want to buy!  LOL!  I also DO NOT want to move it down to my new studio, only to have to move it AGAIN! :D
I am off to Valentine parties at school today!  Tomorrow I will post the treat bags I made for my son's class.

Vintage Valentine Tags

Hello! Today I have some vintage Valentine tags for you.  I have always been a lover of antiquities and anything vintage, but it is also a very popular trend in the paper crafting world.  Paper Maniac has several lines to cater to those looking for a vintage look on their cards and crafts.  I used some ephemera images from Crafty Secrets for my tags.  You can buy these in sheets in several different themes for only 1.75.  I also used some DP from Webster's Pages (pink paper above).  It happens to be from the Postcards from Paris and Sweet as Cherry Pie pad.  LOVE this paper.  It is double sided and includes two collections in one pad, so you have LOTS of options!  There are also many vintage ribbons that go with Webster Pages paper found HERE.
If you haven't tried a vintage look on your projects, why not give it a try?

Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of Hoo...

Hello!  I can't sleep so I decided to make a card for the SCS color challenge-Chocolate Chip, Dusty Durango, and Sage Shadow.  The dessert option was to add patterns to your card.  I pulled out some of my new DP from that Cosmo Cricket kit I scored at Tuesday Mornings.  I also used a set from MFT that I hadn't got inky yet...Thinking of Hoo.  Don't you just love that little owl on the branch?
I colored him with Copics and Prisma pencils, after stamping him on Kraft paper.  I cut him out and used some dimensionals to pop him up.  The bluish green panel in the middle is DP, and I love the way the distressing in the upper right hand corner looks light moonlight.  I would love to say that I planned that, but nope...a wonderful coincidence!

Guess what?  My robot card is featured over on the MFT blog HERE.  How exciting is that?

Okay...I REALLY need to try and sleep.  It is snowing again, and it is just so beautiful to look at.  Maybe if I watch it long enough it will lull me to sleep! LOL!  I actually thought about bundling up and taking a midnight walk in it, but hubby would probably think I had lost my mind!!  Maybe I have....

Have a good night/day!

Cupid...

Hello!  I hope you all had a great weekend!  Sorry I didn't  post anything yesterday, but kind of a crazy weekend!  I actually made this card a couple of weeks ago, but never posted it!
The DP and stamps are from Pink Paislee's Cupid collection!  Gorgeous stuff!  I found a great online deal right after Christmas and was able to get everything in the collection for 50% off!  I have oodles of stuff and I really like their clear stamps.  They stamp beautifully!  I think I posted about this a while back, but it is worth mentioning again!  Can't wait to get my hands on some of the new lines they are coming out with!  The postmark, the cupid, and the xoxoxoxo are all stamped in rich cocoa.  I distressed the edges of all of the paper and added some buttons from my stash.

We are supposed to get hit with 6 more inches of snow tonight so I will be busy getting all of my DT work done tonight for the week in case of lots of snow days!!! It's fun to have snow days, but not a lot of stamping gets done with 3 boys running around!

Thanks for stopping by!

EIC74-Inspired by Traveling Mama!

Hello! It is time for another Etsy Inspired Challenge!  This week's Etsy shop for your inspiration is Traveling Mama!  She has some beautiful photographs in her shop.  I was inspired to make this altered frame after admiring her Sepia tone photos of the Eiffel Tower.
Our wonderful sponsor this week is Simple Doodles.  They have some fab digi images.  They also have a blog found HERE. I sooooo wanted to use one of their fabby images for my project today, but my ink is low on my printer and the images were printing off a reddish brown!  We have a yucky winter storm in the works so not able to run to the store at the moment!  I will try to post a card later on in the week using one of their great images!
All products used for my altered frame are Cosmo Cricket, except for the flower.  I used pages from an old book to make the flower.  I hope you can play along with us this week.  Remember to use keyword EIC74 when uploading to online galleries.  You also need to link you card or project to the EIC blog HERE.  A random winner will be picked next Friday to win 3 digi images of their choice from Simple Doodles!

Have fun creating!

FWF-Whimsical Birthday Tree...

Hello!  Hope you are having a Fabulous Friday!  We are supposed to get some ice and snow to the tune of 6 inches, and I have to work this weekend!  That should make it fun getting to and from work!  Oh well...at least I am not working on a weekend that is gorgeous!
I made this with stamps from the January retail monthly kit.  I colored it with copics and cut it out.  The sentiment is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  The DP is from my scrap bin, but I believe it is from Colorbok's Friendly Forest collection.  I also used the oval and modern label punch by SU for my sentiment.  Added some hemp twine to the top and called it a card.  I was so tempted to make this a Valentine card, but decided that I have already made "too many" Valentine's this year! LOL!  It felt good to make a birthday card.

Thanks for stopping by!

RUN to Tuesday Mornings...FAST....enabler ALERT! 2nd post today!

HURRY! I just got back from Tuesday Mornings and they have quite a large selection of awesome paper crafting supplies right now!  Sometimes it is hit or miss with them.  I bought some great Making Memories storage organizers (the white wood kind) for dirt cheap, AND.....look at this Cosmo Cricket Paper Crafting kit!  OMG!  There are over 9,000 pieces in this kit!!!!! Guess how much?  $14.99!!!!!

The photos I took do not do this kit justice!  I just about screamed in the middle of the store.  I will list just some of the things you can make with this kit:

Several picture frames
mini brag books
mini magnet frames
wall hanging, chipboard frame cube
TONS of greeting cards
2 8x8 albums with a fancy little cabinet drawer thingy to store them in
TONS of fabulous paper....I am talking LOADS
embellishments, chipboard, all the adhesive and dimensionals needed to make the above products, chipboard alphas, chipboard shapes, vinyl cutouts, decorative edge paper

I know I am forgetting some!  The kit I got is called Dusty Blue, but it has tons of beautiful corals, reds, and greens.  They had a Christmas kit, too.
Had to share this will all of my bloggy friends!  Hope your Tuesday Mornings has all of this stuff too!  Dang it...I had swore I was NOT purchasing any more stuff until all of the new CHA releases came out.  No will power WHATSOEVAH when it comes to paper!!!  I probably could use a paper crafting 12 step program!

HUGS!

Out of This World!

I made this card for yesterday's sketch challenge over on SCS.  I used stamps from MFT's Love Machine and DP from Sassafrass Lass's Monstrosity collection.  I thought it looked cute with that robot.  Lot's of little guys in the family, so I need to come up with a couple more boy themed Valentine.  I also am going to make 36 treat bags using this image for my guy's Valentine parties at school!!!! Wish me luck! LOL!  I will post a photo next week of the treat bags!

Love my Dad!

Hello!  Sorry no card today.  I have been working away in the basement and it is coming along great!  My Dad is saving our butt's on this whole basement thing!  Almost finished!  Thanks Dad!  I have become quite proficient with a battery powered caulk gun, and I am now a pro at painting baseboard trim!  When I was a little girl, my Dad built houses for a living.  The smell of sawdust and seeing him walk around with his tool belt brings back lots of memories.  This is my Dad with Max in the photo above.  Max likes to try to look like my Dad, so he always grabs his cowboy hat because it looks like Boo Boo's! (that's what they call my dad...long story!)

Along with finishing the basement I have been working hard on potty training Max.  He has some developmental delays and sensory issues so it has been quite a challenge!  We went out to dinner last night and after waiting way to long for our food, I got home and crashed!  That was when I was planning on doing some creative work and having some ME time, but my bed sounded better! LOL!

I will be back tomorrow with some Paper Maniac Inspiration for you.  Did you check out the new Unity retail kit?  Once again, it is a must have!  I am going to get this one instead of the regular KOTM.  If you haven't seen it, check it out HERE (if you want to buy it) and the photo below!  It is FABULOUS!

Okay...I am off to feed the troops before our first basketball tournament game tonight!  It will be fun because the team we are playing is coached by another one of my neighbors.  The last time we played this team, my son and his friend were laughing and goofing off instead of guarding each other.  Even though hubby and the coaches were not happy about it, I thought it was pretty funny!

See you tomorrow!

A "sketchy" birthday card!

Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend.  I haven't stamped since Friday...can you believe it?  I know I can't, but we have been busy trying to get our basement finished.  It has been the basement from HELL! LOL!  We had to fire our contractors last week, so my Dad is helping us finish.  Thank goodness for Dad's, right?  It is almost done, just some little odds and ends to finish up and then we can carpet.  We bought our furniture this weekend, and I am anxiously awaiting the day when I can take all of my prized paper and stamps and tools down and get organized.  It looks beautiful and I can't wait to show you the final product!
Thankfully, I made this card for last's week's SCS sketch challenge, and forgot to post it on my blog!  I am off to the post office and then will be helping my dad down in the basement later.
