TSOL: Happy Anniversary

Hello! I have a quick and easy Anniversary card to share with you today.  I simply stamped the sentiment onto a white tag, and then used some green twine from May Arts, to tie it onto my card.  I added a paper rose to the center of the loopy bow.  Easy Peasy!  The sentiment is from the set anniversary2celebrate from The Stamps of Life.
On a side note, I would love it if you could take the time to vote for me over on the Heartfelt Creations blog.  This is to stay on another term as a designer for Heartfelt Creations.  I don't "do" facebook, so I have to ask here! LOL!

itsy, bitsy spider....

Hi, there!  Today I have a creepy, spider card to share with you.  If you know me well, you know that I absolutely despise spiders.  They put me right over the edge, and when I see one I scream like an idiot.  It is the one thing in life that makes me "scream like a girl"!
I really do not know why I decided to make a spider card today, other than the fact that I have owned these felt spiders for quite some time.  They need to leave my craft space, so I paired him up with a cute little sentiment from The Stamps of Life set web4us, and some Basic Grey Eerie patterned paper.  I added the gems for his eyes and used some baker's twine from The Twinery to dangle him from!
Since I am no longer working at the hospital, I decided to volunteer at the twins' school this year.  My first afternoon is today, and I will be in the media center.  I think it will be fun and a nice way to give back to the school.

This is for the Make it Monday challenge.

Baby Love...

Hello! Today I have a baby themed card to share with you.  I used a Sizzix/Framelits with stamps by Stephanie Barnard set for this card.  It is called Words & Tags.  I stamped the flowers in the background in Bubbble Gum ink and then used Antique Linen distress ink on the edges.  The larger frame is stamped in chocolate onto kraft cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and used the smaller matching frame to die cut.  The flowers and leaves are also stamped and then cut with matching dies.
To make the ric rac, I used the wavy dies from TSOL.
Here is a photo of the set. So sorry for the quality. I have a hard time taking photos with things wrapped in any type of plastic! LOL!

TSOL: Onesie Mania!

Hello!  Today I have two cards and a gift bag to share using the onesie4baby die by The Stamps Of Life.  The first card uses one of the Sizzix embossing folders from TSOL on the card base.  Love that these folders match a lot of the stamp sin Stephanie's sets!  After die cutting and stamping the onesie, I went back in with some copic markers to add some highlights.  The "welcome" and the little butterfly on the onesie are also from this set.  This is a quick and easy card to make if you are strapped for time!

Next, I made a quick little gift bag.  If you visit my blog often, you know that I love to use little brown bags to make gift bags!  I used an oval punch to create the handle.  I die cut and stamped the onesie, punched a hole in the top and created a hanging tag to decorate the outside.  These would make great shower favors, or a small gift to give to mom and baby!
Last, I have a card that I made, but I did not use the die for this one. Why, you ask?  Simply, because I did not own the die yet! LOL!  If I had, it would have been a lot quicker to make.  The little flowers are part of the onesie4baby set.  The crayon letters used to spell CORA, are from the crayonletters2stamp set and the "sweet" is from the sweet4babies set.

This is for the Paper Playtime challenge: punches/die cuts plus a sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello, My Friend!

Hello!  Today I have a card to share using a set from The Stamps Of Life set, Katie2love.  I think this little gal is too cute.  I paper pieced her dress with Crate Paper DP.  I also used a new Sizzix Bigz die by Stephanie Barnard called Flower Layers & Centers.  I used text from an old book to create the flowers and leaves.  I sponged Crushed Curry ink over the petals and molded the petals to add dimension.

This card is for the Mojo Monday 259 and for the color challenge over at The Outlawz Challenge site.  The color challenge was to use grey, mustard and white.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Trick or Treat!

Hi there!  Today I have a card using some new goodies!  I couldn't resist ordering Lisa Johnson's Primitive Pumpkins from MFT.  I was inspired by the layout of this card here.  I added distress inks to the sides of all of my papers and added some burlap twine embellishments. I also added some chunky glitter around the text circle, but it is hard to see in this photo.  I created a mas for the large background circle and sponged distress ink just around the perimeter.

Have a great Sunday!

Birthdays are "owl" good!

Hello! Today I have a couple of cards to share that I made recently.  The first is a very CAS one layer card using some stamps from Gourmet Rubber Stamps.  I love the sentiment and the vintage looking cake.  Perfect to send to a girlfriend for her birthday!
This next card uses stamps from The Stamps Of Life set, owls2love. I also used the new wavy die set to create the ric rac looking waves toward the bottom.  The embossing folder is from Hobby Lobby and the twine is from The Twinery.  What will I do when twine goes out of style? I am so addicted to the stuff.  I was using burlap twine and jute twine before it was "in", so I guess I will just keep using it! LOL!

FWF:Do What Makes You Happy.

Hello and happy Friday!  Today I have a little vintage beauty that uses different Unity stamps.  The sentiment is from the ippity itty bitty called Do What Makes You Happy.  Vintage paper crafts have definitely been making me very happy, so it was perfect to add to my card!  I also used several stamps from the Iron Orchid set My Dear (I think this kit is retired)I stamped the script in antique Linen distress ink onto the ledger DP.  I also stamped the single postage stamp.  You can see it peeking out from behind the bow, and also I cut a circle out of a one of the stamps, and added it to the vintage lady image.  The scrolly stamp in the right corner is also from this set.
The vintage lady image is from a free vintage clip art site here.  I loved the smoky blues, but didn't realize that it was an advertisement for cigarettes!  So....I covered up the word "cigarette" with the circle and gem.
I die cut the flower with Spellbinders dies (Tattered Florals) for Heartfelt Creations with text from an old book. I inked all of the edges with distress ink, and added some chunky glitter to all of the petals.  I just free hand cut the leaves.
The designer paper is from Authentique.  The white twine is from my sweet friend and ippity chick, Noelle.

This is for Crafty Ribbons Challenge 28-vintage theme!

So that's about it! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  I may be in a minority group of ladies, but I am so super excited that football season is here! HOORAY! When I am not watching the games, I will be hanging with my guys outside. It is supposed to be GORGEOUS this weekend.

Have a good one!

Friends...

Hello! Today I have a card to share using a new Sizzix Framelit die and stamp set by Stephanie Barnard.  I stamped my leaves in Mellow Moss ink (SU) and then dabbed the leaves with a course sponge to remove some of the ink.  I love the distressed look it gives the leaves.  I also sponged distress ink (Antique Linen) over all of the paper edges.  The designer paper is from Pink Paislee.  It worked out perfectly that the bird on the paper appears perched on top of my sentiment banner!

FWF: So Thankful...

Hello!  Today I have a card and tag that I made as a teacher "thank you".  My boys have LOTS of teachers these days, so it is always nice to have a little something on hand when someone does something special for them.  I used stamps from the Apple Cheddar Soup set.  I used some old Scribble Scrabble DP.  The tag will go on whatever it is I decide to give to them! LOL!
I am thinking it would be perfect on a bag of caramel-apple cookies.  I love that fall is almost here.  It is by far, my favorite season.  I love the warm colors, the smells, and definitely love all of the foods. Halloween and Thanksgiving are bonuses that make it that much better! :)

Halloween Harvest...

Hi, there! Today I have a card to share using a sentiment from Unity, and the pumpkin and wagon are from Heartfelt Creations.  I pulled out my My Mind's Eye Mischievous paper pad for this one. I love orange, aqua and brown for fall themed cards.  It is a more refreshing, vintage color theme for fall. I distressed all of the paper edges, and added distress inks to everything including the baker's twine.  I love the look the distress ink gives to the twine!  The wagon is popped with foam dots, and I cut a slit in the wagon to tuck that pumpkin down into.  I added an old button to a memo pin to stick through the baker's twine bow.  I used a woodgrain embossing folder on the brown card stock panel, and then sponged white ink over it.

Last night we had some storms which cooled everything off. It was a beautiful evening and a cool, foggy morning getting boys on the bus today. I am happily awaiting fall's approach!

TSOL: Trees4Christmas

So excited for this new Christmas set from The Stamps Of Life.  It is called Trees4Christmas.  I am such a sucker for holiday stamps.  I can not resist even though I have too many, as it is.  I couldn't wait to paper piece this tree.  I went for a country/folksy feel on the card above.  My snow mound is maybe a bit to big on the right.  Maybe wishful thinking for lots of snow this year?  My boys never even wore their snow boots or pants last year! Just dustings of snow for us, so I know they are wishing for some big snows this year, too!
I created the star background just stamping the star from this set repeatedly in white ink.
Here is another card using a different tree from this set.  I added some glitter to the star and some red glitter over the dots on the tree.  I mimicked the dots on the strip of patterned paper at the bottom and used some yellow baker's twine to tie in the yellow in the star.

There are some great circular sentiment in this set, too.  I will be showing a card using one of those later in the week.

Thanks for stopping by, and hope you all are having a wonderful holiday weekend!
