Lily Of Hope...

Stamps:  Flourishes Tag Lines set, and  Lily Of Hope Set
Paper:  Neenah Solar White, Tangerine Tango
Accessories:  Copic Markers

Hello!  This is Emily, and today I have a card using some fabulous stamps from Flourishes.  I am becoming quite addicted to their beautiful stamps!  One of the things that I love about Flourishes, is the stamps are perfect for beginner Copic users.  The intricate details and shading help you to know where the darker colored areas are going to be.  I am not Copic certified and am definitely not an expert on Copics, but I really love how this turned out.  AND....it was pretty easy!
Make sure you check out all of the fabulous Flourish stamps and Copic markers available at Paper Maniac!

Just Chillin'....

Hello!  Today I have a card I made for my son.  I used some Making Memories Just Chillin' paper for this card.  I love finding paper that is ALL BOY!  I make cards and notes for my son and leave them on his pillow.  He has been doing great things at school lately so this was to let him know how proud I am of him.  I used this week's CAS sketch challenge over on SCS for this card.  The sentiment stamp is from Unity's March KOTM.

EIC81-I {heart} Pure Innocence!

Time for another EIC challenge!  This week our sponsor is Digi Stamp Characters by Heather Ellis.  OMGosh!  Imagine my excitement when I found out you could buy the Pure Innocence characters in digi!  I fell in love with this sweet little Easter girl.  I paired her with some DP from Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety.  I colored her with Copics and added a sentiment from Flourishes.
I know where a lot of my digi stamp money is going from now on!

This week's shop for you inspiration is Ponder and Stitch.  They have some really cute fabric cuff bracelets that are popular right now.  I drew inspiration from the colors in the bracelet below:
When uploading your creations to online galleries please use keyword EIC81.  Also make sure that you link your card or project to the EIC blog HERE.  A random winner will be chosen next Friday to win 3 free digi images from The Digi Character shop!  Have fun creating and good luck!

FWF- Miss Ladybug luck...

Hello to all of my Friends With Flair!  Today I made a card with some stamps from the March KOTM.  Love this kit!  So many super adorable images.  I am a big fan of ladybugs. My Max LOVES to watch the ladybugs on our trees in the spring.  He was thrilled to find them when we were out playing on Wednesday.  He would sit in the grass by a tree and watch them crawl on the trunk for hours, if I let him.  I guess that is why I was drawn to this stamp today!

Thanks for stopping by!

WOW....I have A LOT of stuff...

I am officially moving ALL of my stuff downstairs!  I started last night and am a little embarrassed at how much stuff I have accumulated, and never even opened!  DH was smirking as he helped me haul stuff downstairs!  Here is one of my problems...I have saved like every issue of any magazine I have ever bought that is related to scrapbooking or paper crafts.  Do I really need to save them?  I mean, my style has changed and so have trends, so will I ever look at a back issue of Paper Crafts magazine from 2006?  Probably not, but I hate to throw them away.  I am sure I will rearrange my space several times before I am happy.

Keep checking back in my FOR SALE section, cause I will be adding TONS of stuff over the next several weeks!  Stamps, paper, and stickers...wow...I have a lot of stickers and I NEVER use them.  So if you are a lover of stickers, I can hook you up! LOL!

So here are a few photos of what I have done so far.  I will probably rearrange and change it several more times.  This is only half of my stuff!  I decided to move what I use the most and like the most first.  Now I am going through what I haven't moved and deciding what to do with it...big sigh...I am such a hoarder!  LOL!

If anyone has any good organization suggestions for me, please let me know!  It is so hard to organize paper, embellies and what nots because there is soooooo much!  I would love to hear you organizing ideas and thoughts! :)

Simple Scrapbook layout Unity Style!

Stamps:  Unity February retail kit, Unity March KOTM
Accessories:  yellow button from Harvest collection

Hello!  Today I made a layout with the simple scrapbook sketch over on the Unity forum.  I just love this photo of my sister, BIL, and nieces Lily and Sarah.  This is the first time that Lily met her brand new baby sister.  I love the look on all of their faces.  A perfect moment captured forever!  I sponged the edge of the base and distressed and tore the edges.  I also had to add a "poofy" flower made from Donna Salazar newsprint paper.  So fun to make! :)
Make sure you check the Paper Maniac blog for lots of scrapbook inspiration this week!

Want FREE cash to buy paper crafting supplies?

Search & Win

Hello!  Sorry no card today.  I worked all weekend and crashed yesterday.  Today I am going to pick up our new mini van.  I am one of those mom's that couldn't live without my Town & Country, and it is time to upgrade to a new one.  My new van will be LOADED with all of the new technology so I am super excited!  It is soooo fun to get something new, which is why I want to remind you all about Swagbucks.

My SIL told me about this in December, and since mid December I have accumulated enough swagbucks to earn almost $100.00 worth of gift cards!  It is super easy.  If you click on the button above it will walk you through the easy steps of getting a swagbucks tool bar.  All you have to do to start earning bucks is use the swagbucks search tool when doing your searches.  You will be amazed at how quickly your account builds just buy clicking on things that you would normally do every day.  They also are affiliated with several stores that if you shop there, you can earn bucks.  For example, I use Walmart to download music, so I always go there via swagbucks and every time I buy, I earn free bucks.  When you accumulate enough swagbucks, you can cash them in for several different gift cards.  I normally buy amazon.com and pay pal because I can use those to buy paper craft product!  I hope you give it a try so you can start earning free paper, stamps and nestabilities soon!

I will be back tomorrow with some paper crafting inspiration for you!  Have a great day!

H{ippity} Hop - Tree Swing!

Hello!  Today I used stamps from the fabulous set, What Matters Most and I used letters from Alphabetically Adorable for the title.  I just love these photos of my oldest son on the tire swing at my mom and dad's house.  He is almost too big for it, but still loves to swing in the woods!  I used some of the My Mind's Eye DP (Quite Contrary) that {ippity} offers.  I water colored the butterflies, tree and part of the sentiment circle with various blue and green inks.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  If you would like to purchase any {ippity} stamps, click HERE!

FWF Good things...

Hello!  Hooray, it's Friday!  This is a card I made for yesterday's What To Use challenge over on SCS.  The challenge was to make an uplifting card for someone.  The big oval stamp is from February's in store kit, and the sentiment is from my Unity stash, but I believe it is the Simply Said set.  The ric-rac and cross stitch die cuts are from K&Co's Handmade collection.  I added some jute twine, blue button and hemp twine to finish it off.  I distressed the edges of the oval with a pair of scissors since I couldn't find my distressing tool.

I am super excited because our carpet is being installed in our basement today!  That means I can officially move into my studio space downstairs this weekend!  It is almost embarrassing how much STUFF I have that I haven't used and probably will never use.  I have learned to be a more selective buyer of papercrafts over the past couple of years, but I still buy way too much!  I will probably be adding more supplies to my FOR SALE section soon!

May The Luck O' The Irish Be Yours...

Accesories:  Copics
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!  Most people think this is a silly holiday, but in my family we celebrate in Irish style!  We will be eating corned beef, cabbage and potatoes at my mom's tonight.  I will be bringing the chocolate Baily's flavored dessert! YUM!  We also drink green beer and have a toast to my grandfather (who was Irish).  My mom and dad always put out gold dollars and green beads along the sidewalk and in the trees (if the weather permits), so the boys think leprechaun's came to visit!  It is a fun tradition that I look forward to every year.

Hope you have a fabulous day whether you celebrate the green or not!

Embellish Magazine Challenge-Red, Blue, Green, kraft and fabric!

Hello!  Today I made a card for the current challenge over at Embellish Magazine.  We were to use red, blue, green, kraft and fabric on our card.  I have been dying to make these flowers ever since I saw it over on my friend Bekah's blog.  Instead of paper I used strips of red felt for my flower.  I added a button center and paired it with paper from Anna Griffin.  The sentiment is from Flourishes Tag Lines set.  This is a fabulous set to own.  So many wonderful sentiments-definitely a good investment!  You can buy one over at Paper Maniac  for $7.99 along with many other wonderful sets!  I cut out the leaf shapes from scrap paper and then scored a line down the middle for the vein.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello, again!  Today I have a card for you that uses the FABULOUS Quite Contrary MME DP from {ippity}, and also the sets Where You Should Be and Moonbeams and Heartstrings.  This card is special, because it will be sent to my SIL who recently got engaged!  She is busy, busy finishing her third year of med school, and I was going to send her a little card and care package to congratulate her.
I am thrilled with the way this turned out!  I had so much fun making it that I want to just keep making more! LOL!  I used my new EK success punch for the scallop border.  If you are interested in purchasing any of the fabulous {ippitiy} stamps you see on my card above, click HERE for a menu of ALL my {ippity} goodies!

EIC79-Inspired by wood jewelry and owls!

Hello!  I can't believe it is Saturday already!!! Time for another Etsy inspired challenge!  This week's shop for your inspiration is 3 Dots Jewelry.  They have some really amazing pieces of jewelry in their shop.  I was inspired by the beautiful browns, and wood tones.
This week our sponsor is Stretch 'N Bubbles.  They have some adorable images available for purchase.  The owl I used on today's card is from their shop.  I just fell in love with his heart eyes and the shamrock looking leaves on the branch.  I decided not to color him in, since the DP I used was so bright and busy.
This week the prize will be 4 images from the Stretch 'N Bubbles shop, and she will also give 1 image to 3 runners up.  Ashley will pick random winners next Friday.  Make sure you link your creation to the EIC blog found HERE.  Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check out the other DT memebers fab creations for this week!

FWF-Splash N' Dash!

Hello!  I have been back in a scrappy mood, so I have a layout for you today.  This is a photo of my son at my mom and dad's house last summer.  I love the look on his face!  I used DP from Cosmo Cricket's Joy Ride line.  I love that line, because it has more of a "little boy" feel to it, and it goes with a lot of the in colors from Stampin' Up which I have A LOT of!  I used the sentiment stamp from January's in store kit and the "ORIGINAL" circle is from {ippity}'s set Love in Return.  This set is great for scrapbooking.  If you would like to order one click HERE.

Shaped Cards are Easy Peasy!

Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest, Black

Hello! Today I have a CAS card using Nestabilities.  I used labels 2 for this card.  For my card base I used the largest size, and for the image panel-one size smaller.  The images are from Unity's February retail kit.  I colored the lanterns with Copics from the October kit.  Here is a trick when making shaped cards.  Use your scor pal or other scoring tool, and score 1/4" down from top of the back of card base.  Apply some adhesive to the small area above the score line and stick the front on.  This allows the card to open and close freely and stand up on it's own.  You also don't have to compromise the shape of your card by folding the top and losing the shape.  One of my big pet peeves is seeing a beautiful scallop circle card with the scallops bent at the top from folding.  This quick and easy step eliminates that, and works for any shaped card!  See the photo below:
Hope you give a shaped card a try using this trick!

Happy Spring!

Can you believe that we will be turning our clocks forward soon?  I can't wait!  We have had some gorgeous weather here, and are enjoying the outside play time at my house!  I hope you aren't getting sick of this new ippity set, but I LOVE it!  If you love it too, you can order it from me HERE.

This card is for three different challenges.  The first challenge is for the SCS color challenge to use melon mambo, celery, and bashful blue.  The second challenge is for the Teapot Tuesday challenge.  The third challenge is this week's {ippity} challenge ( IHHC14), to use dry embossing on your card.

All stamps are from the Sweet Thoughts of Spring set.  I colored my clouds with Copics and my bunny with Prisma pencils.  Added some celery twill for my bunny to "stand" on.  I popped the bunny and the center cloud with dimensionals.

Hello to all of you {ippitiy} chicks and {ippitiy} lovers!  Today I made a card with the Music Of My Heart set.  I LOVE that vintage is in right now!  That was the look I was going for on this card.  I colored the bird image with Prismas.  The teal and brown stitched border are from Heidi Swapp.  I made a poofy flower from pages of an old book and some scrap red DP.  Added some turquoise and gold bling and some hemp twine.  I distressed the edges of the card and sponged some brown ink around the edges.

Also entered this for this week's Oh, Alice challenge found HERE.  Thanks for letting me know about this, Catherine! :D

Remember my Friendly Forest obsession?

Do you remember my Friendly Forest obsession?  It's back!  I pulled it out for yesterday's inspiration challenge over on SCS.  If you would like to participate in this challenge click HERE.  There is NO stamping on this card.  I used a journaling circle and die cuts from the collection.  I used my scallop nesties to create the circle card.  Easy peasy!  I hope you all have had a nice weekend.  We have been getting outside as much as possible even if it is just to ride bikes in the driveway and down the sidewalk (grass is still pretty wet and soggy from all of the melting snow).  I have been spring cleaning a bit getting ready to move toys and my craft room down to the basement.  I feel good to have gotten rid of so much "stuff"!

I will be offering up some blog candy this week!  I have discovered lots of stamping goodies that need to be passed on to someone else who may actually use them!  Stay tuned...

EIC78-Fantastical, mythical creatures and such!

+
Hello! Welcome to another EIC challenge!  This week's shop for your inspiration is Fantasy Art of Maigan Lynn.  Most of the images in her shop are mermaids, but I went with the whole fantasy theme and created this Edward standing pop up card, for my husband's cousin, who is a pre-teen and loves Twilight.  The image is from Pixie Dust Studios.  I colored it with Prisma pencils and added glossy accents and glitter to his chest (the whole meadow scene thing!).
This week our sponsor is Glue Arts.  LOVE their adhesives.  They came in handy when making this card!  My favorite product that they carry is the Glue Glider Pro with the Perma Tac.  I also love that it is pink and green!  It is very easy to use, and if you use your 40% off coupon at Hobby Lobby, refills are pretty cheap!  It makes crafting easy peasy and saves a ton of time!
As always, Ashley will pick a random winner next Friday.  Make sure you use keyword EIC78 when uploading to on line galleries.  Also make sure you link your project on the EIC blog HERE.  So...you want to know what the prize is this week, right?  Feast your eyes below:
Isn't that fabulous?  I wish I could win it!  Thanks so much to Glue Arts for sending some fab product to the EIC design team.  I am hooked!
Maigan Lynn is also offering up 3 of her prints to another random winner.  Two chances to win this week! HOORAY!

FWF-Butterfly Kisses

Hello!  Today I made a layout of my sweet little nieces.  I just love these photos, which were taken last June right after Sarah was born.  I used a sentiment and butterfly stamp from the Unity February in store kit.  You can purchase this  kit at Paper Maniac.  After coloring my butterflies, I used my stardust gelly roll pen to add some glittery highlights.  I also sponged some Lumiere paint on the edges of the photos.  I plan on journaling in the white space toward the bottom of the page.  The DP is paper from We R Memory Keepers Hoopla collection.  I just cut out some of the waves in the colors I wanted from a sheet of DP, and placed them on the page so that they fit, but not completely together.

For all of you early birds, check back later because I am going to try to get better photos of this page in the sunlight!  I always struggle with photographing my SB layouts in the house.  Maybe that is why I scrap more in the warmer months?!  Any pointers?

Thanks for stopping by!

An Irish Blessing...

Hello!  Today I have a St. Patrick's Day card for you.  I have Irish heritage, so I always make sure to send out St. Patty's Day cards to my family!  I fell in love with Flourishes Irish Blessings stamp set this year.  I had to have it!  I stamped the image and sentiments with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copics.I used my rectangle scallop nestabilities to frame it along with the blessing.  The DP is from Little Yellow Bicycle's Lucky Me paper pad.  Love the wonderful celtic feel to this paper.  The paper pad comes with lots of different pattern paper along with heavier cardstock in solids, and a sheet of die-cut stickers.  You can feast your eyes on the photo below:

The Paper Maniac has TONS of the new releases from CHA.  Stop by and check it out!

life-dream it, believe it, live it

Here is a card I made for this week's {ippity} challenge-to make a masculine card.  I know, I know...I put a ribbon on it.  Just couldn't help it.  At least it is a masculine ribbon-black and white gingham can be masculine...right?  LOL!
I used the brayered sky technique for this.  I layered soft sky, apricot appeal, pumpkin pie, really rust with the brayer.  I sponged some of the Memento black around the edges after stamping the cat tails and the sentiment.  The cat tail is from the {ippity} where you should be set and the sentiment is from What Matters Most.  I just LOVE these stamps!  They make me super duper happy inking them up.  I am getting ready to schedule my first big class in the next couple of weeks.  I have been waiting for my basement to be finished and it will be done by the end of the week! HOORAY!

Hey there all of you H{ippity} Hop chicks!  Today I made another card with the Sweet Thoughts of Spring set.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the scallop border stamps in this set!  I stamped them in several different colors and then cut them out and glued them in rows.  Pretty easy peasy other than the time it takes to cut them out!
Make sure that you check out my {ippity} page!  I have competitive prices and great shipping deals!
Cute as can be, huh?  Have a Marvelous Monday!
