Monster Beauty!

I made this card for the sketch challenge on SCS found HERE.  I pulled out some of my Monstrosity DP by Sasafrass Lass and my Monster's Ink stamp set by MFT.  I just love this MFT set!  Too cute!  I really like the way this card turned out, but I think I would be afraid to send it to anyone, because of the sentiment. LOL!  They may be offended!  Oh well...it was fun to make!
Hope you have a Wonderful Wednesday.  We now have drywall up in our basement! YAY!  My new stamp studio will be operational before you know it!  I will take lots of before and after photos for ya!

Relax with some Artful INKables stamps!

Hello!  I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas!  I got a new camera! YAY!  I didn't take the above photo with it, because I am still trying to work with the new software.  My old camera is being completely wonky, so I actually borrowed a camera to take this photo!  Hopefully, I will have it all figured out by tomorrow! :)

The Think INK challenge over at Artful INKables is to make a card that reflects a New Year's resolution.  One of my resolutions is to whisk my husband away for a trip-just the two of us- no boys allowed!  I would like to go somewhere warm, or tropical, so I pulled out my South of The Border set.  It was refreshing to make a card that was not Christmas or winter themed!
I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with both Copics and Prisma pencils.  I added Crystal Effects and glitter to the salt on the rim of the margarita glass.  The DP is from Me & My Big Ideas, but not sure the name of the line.  The ribbon is Melon Mambo from Stampin' Up.

Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Wishes

Hello! I have a birthday card for you today! All products used are from the Paper Maniac store! Make sure you check out all of the great deals!  I don't know about you, but I am starting to get tired of making Christmas/holiday themed cards.  I did however make this with DP from Niki Sivils North Pole Nights.  I love this paper because it can be used for the holidays, or for other occasions.  It worked PERFECTLY with this fabulous May Arts reversible satin ribbon in fuscia/olive,  and a glittery button from the Sherbert collection.  I really wanted to showcase the paper and the ribbon, so I kept my stamping to a minimum....just the sentiment in the corner. The sentiment is from PTI's Out On A Limb.

Tickled Pink with Artful INKables!

It's no secret how much I like Artful INKables stamps!  This Down on The Farm set is no exception.  It was so refreshing to pull out this stamp set, and make this fun card instead of a Christmas card!  I kept it CAS.  I used my nesties and colored the image with Prisma penicls.  I matted the image with Melon Mambo and added a Melon Mambo ribbon.  I hope you have a Super Sunday.  I am officially done with my Christmas shopping!  Hubby and I went out and finished last night!

EIC67-Memory Like An Elephant

This week's Etsy shop for your inspiration is Kindly Noted.  She has some super cute children's wall art in her shop.  I chose the elephant print below for my inspiration.  I am a lover of CAS cards, so I like all of the white space on this print, and of course the cute elephant.  The inside of the card says, "sorry i forgot".  I thought it was cute with the "memory like an elephant" on the front.  The elelphant is actually a die cut from K&Co.  I have a ton of them that went with their alphabet soup line that was out this past summer.  I had to have them but then never used them!

This week's sponsor is FairyLand Dreams Digi Stamps.  They have some super cute images, so make sure you check them out.  they are also having a buy 2 get 1 free sale!
Please remember to use keyword EIC67 when uploading to online galleries.  Link your card on the Etsy blog HERE for a chance at some great prizes!  One random winner will receive 3 pieces of wall art from the Kindly Noted shop and the other random winner will receive 3 free digi images from FairyLand Dreams!

Thanks for stopping by and can't wait to see what you make for the challenge!

EIC66-Marmar's Shop and a Hooga Booga Hug!

Welcome to another Etsy Inspired Challenge.  This week's shop-Marmar's,  is full of wonderful charms for your inspiration.  This week our sponsor is The Character Cafe'.  They have some wonderful digi images so make sure to go check them out.  I drew my inspiration from the Sagittarian charm above.  I love it, because I am a Sagittarius!  It also made me think of the MFT set, Hooga Booga.  That set is so stinkin' cute!

I used the sketch and challenge over at Limelight for this card.  My circle base is 5x5.  I used a strip of paper from Sasafrass Lass Sunshine lollipop collection in the middle.  I added crystal effects and glitter to all of the dots on the DP.  I colored my Hooga Booga gal with Prisma Pencils.  I added crystal effects and glitter to the heart she is holding.  The sentiment is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.  The chocolate Satin ribbon is from my stash.  I doodled a border around the perimeter and added some bling.

If you participate in this challenge, make sure to use keyword EIC66 when uploading to online galleries. Please link your card to the EIC blog HERE.   A random winner will be chosen next Friday from the entries.  The winner will receive 3 images of their choice from The Character Cafe and a super cute mother/daughter bunny necklace set from Marmar's shop!

Hello! Today is Think INK Tuesday over at Artful INKables, and I have a challenge for you!  My challenge is to make a CAS (clean and simple) card.  A CAS card has many interpretations, but it should have limited layers and embellishments.  I used the new set, Love Ya Lots from AI.  I stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with copic markers.  I doodled the border around the main image with a marker.  This stamp reminds me of a tattoo, so that was the look I was going for!  Here are the deets of the challenge:

Artful INKables Love Ya Lots!

Hello!  Today I have a cute little box for you using the set Love Ya Lots from Artful INKables.  This set offers lots of possibilites for not only Valentine's Day, but wedding and anniversary cards, too.  This little box is a die cut that I got from a local SBS that has since gone out of business.  They used to have bins of different boxes in different colors.  I sooooo miss that little store.  I thought this little heart box was perfect with this set!  I stamped my heart image and sentiment in staz on ink.  I added some stickles but I just can't photograph stickles well!  I also added some bling to the black satin ribbon and the sentiment.

Make sure you go over to the AI blog to check out Donna, today's featured stamper!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I will have a HUGE blog candy announcement tomorrow!

More Paper Maniac Holiday Decor ideas!

Hello! For those of you not shopping today, I have a quick ribbon ornament idea for you today.  Paper Maniac has so many gorgeous ribbons, that I wanted to show you how to make this easy ornament!  This idea is from my mom.  She is a teacher, and does this with her students as gifts to take home to their parents or family each year.

First, you need to pick out a medium to large size foam ball that can be found in any craft store.  Next you want to cut strips of ribbon that are 3 to 4 inches in length.  You will need several!  Put some craft glue in a small dish or container.  Next you need a pencil that is sharpened (one that you can throw away when you are done!)  Take your ribbon and wrap around the end of pencil and dip it into your glue, then stick it into the foam ball.  Do this over and over.

You can make the ornament all ribbon, or you can add a photo.  My mom made these for my boys with photos of them from their first Christmas.  If you do this, cut out the part of the photo that you want on the ormament and then use sequins, beads and straight pins to create a border around the photo.  This also holds your photo onto the ornament.  You then fill in the rest of the ornament with the ribbon bits.

Hope you give this a try!  This is a fun, inexpensive project to do with the kids!  Make sure you check out the great sales going on in the shop!

Hugs!

Santa's Sack and a Pixie Dust Studio Challenge!

Hello! My blog bud Lisa posted about a challenge over at Pixie Dust Studio. The challenge is to make a card with this FREE Santa image with some type of texture.  I colored my image with Copics, but added some crystal effects and glitter to the fur trim on Santa's suit.  I think this is one of the cutest Santa images I have seen so far this year!  I am starting to get more comfortable using my Copics!  I still turn to my prisma pencils for certain things, though!  Maybe Santa will bring me some new Copics for Christmas! ;)

We had a fun filled weekend!  I feel like I have probably gained 5 lbs., as we ate out ALOT this week!  Homemade fried chicken on Friday from my favorite little greasy spoon restaurant....Outback steak and lobster Saturday night....and finally....shrimp, steak and chicken fajitas that were AMAZING last night, after my nephew's birthday.  It was a spur of the moment decision, but super fun to go out with grandma and my BIL, SIL and nephews.  Six boys between the ages of 10 and 3-I bet they smiled(or cursed) as we walked out the door! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!

Love is in the air...at Artful INKables!

Hi there!  Today I have a card with one of the new releases from Artful INKables.  For all of you who have your Christmas cards already done, it is not to early to start thinking about Valentine's Day!  This set-Love Ya Lots, is perfect for Valentine's Day or for engagement or wedding cards.  I made this card for a wedding I will be attending soon.  Her colors are black and hot pink!  Don't forget to check out all of the fabulous charms that AI carries.  I attached one of the new heart charms to my card above!  They definitely add an extra touch to your cards!  Make sure you check out the new releases HERE.

On another note...just wanted to let you all know that my husband found a job! HOORAY!  It is a little bit further away then we would like, but it was an incredible offer and one that he couldn't refuse!  I am so thankful for all of the time that my boys have gotten to spend with him the past 5 months.  I have tried to look at this in a positive way!  Now I will have to get back in my routine of cleaning, laundry and cooking! LOL!  He has spoiled me doing the bulk of the housework while he has been out of work!  I feel so blessed to have him in my life.  Just wanted to share the good news with you all!

HUGS!

Friends With Flair and some NEW {ippity} inspiration!

Hello! I hope you are having fun today looking at all of the wonderful Unity inspiration!  I got my big box of {ippity} yesterday and couldn't wait to play!  The Kissmas and Mistletoe set makes me sooooooo happy!  I love it!  I couldn't wait to pair that snowman image with my d'vine swirl CB folder!  I also made a matching ornament to go with the card.  I took some photos for a quick little tutorial!

First you need to find an old spool from ribbon.  I got this idea from Patti, the owner of Paper Maniac!  What a great way to recycle those ribbon spools!  If you are like me, you probably go through ALOT of these!  I used my nesties to create my circles in brown and kraft-to match my card.  The snowmen are stamped in ridinghood red.  I sponged brown ink around the edges and over the raised swirls and also on my snomen.

Now you use some tacky tape to tape a band of ribbon around the spool.  I created a loop on one end so that I could create my hemp twine ornament hanger.

Clear as mud?  LOL!  The ornament is really easy to make!  Who wouldn't want to receive a homemade card and matching ornament?  I hope you give it a try.  Remember...FREE shipping on my {ippity} products the month of November!  Click HERE to shop!

Snowflakes "Stick Together"

Hey there!  This card is for the sketch challenge over on SCS.  I had to use my brand new set from There She Goes called Stick Together.  This is my second set from TSG, and I really love the quality of their stamps.  Jessica has fabulous customer service, too!  This set was only $7!
I stamped the snowflake panel in memento Paris Dusk with the various snowflake stamps in this set.  I used some beautiful Elan Metallic paper from Paper Maniac in Steel Blue and Sapphire.  This is the best shimmer paper on the market, IMO.  It is fabulous!  The dimensional snowflake and bling is from Michael's dollar bin!  I stamped the swirls in Paris Dusk behind the main snowflake (also from this TSG stamp kit).

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hubby had an interview early this morning and they just called him back to talk to him again! YAY!  Keep your fingers crossed and say a little prayer for us.

Hugs!

Hope Your Holidays Are A Hoot!

Hello!  I was so excited to ink up this Christmas Owls set from MFT.  I have had it for quite some time, but was saving it for the holiday season!  I used the color challenge over on SCS-artichoke, red and brown with a neutral.  Love those colors for Christmas and it seemed the perfect combo for these two feathered friends!  I added some glitter to the fur on the hats and the ornaments.  The image is colored with copics.  I bought the felt star at hobby lobby and added a hemp bow to the center.

Thanks for stopping by!  I am busy with hubby decorating the inside and outside of the house for the holidays!  I {heart} this time of year!

I have a quick and easy holiday shadow box idea for you.  I bought this 5x5 shadow box at the dollar store.  The inside panel is actually 4.5x 4.5.  I had a really difficult time photographing this, so I took a photo of the inside of the box so you can get a feel for these wonderful Graphic 45 papers.  I added some epoxy letter stickers to the middle paper panel.  The Santa tag is also from Graphic 45.  I tore some holly leaves and berries off of a garland I have, and glued them inside of the box in the corner.  I stamped a corner flourish in the upper inside corner and also onto the lower left corner of the glass.  I added some kaiser pearls to the flourish on the glass to give it even more dimension.  I used black staz on ink for this.  Shadow boxes are great for sitting on a table, or for hanging on the wall.  A quick and inexpensive holiday gift!
